Chris Nelson’s Doomben Tips Posted on October 7, 2016October 7, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 5 – No.10 Hanwritten Matt Dunn trained sprinter who comes into tomorrow’s race off a last start Randwick win sitting up on the pace throughout. The final time was rated one of the fastest on the day which is no mean feat as it was the lowest grade race run on the card. Although drawn a little awkwardly tomorrow he has sufficient pace to cross and around Doomben on a firm surface he’ll prove very hard to run down. RACE 6 – No.9 Stella Ombra Lightly raced galloper from the Kelly Schweida stable who has only missed a placing twice in 14 starts which includes 3 victories. Good return performance at Doomben over 1200m before dropped back to the 1000m trip 3 weeks later at Eagle Farm where he missed the start and rattled home to run a very good 3rd. Back up to 1200m tomorrow suits, look for him to be charging over the top of them late. RACE 7 – No.15 Annaman Very consistent stayer of late just finding it hard to break through however tomorrow might just be the day. After leading early on here last Saturday he handed up and took a trail before being shuffled right back to near last on the home turn, he railed home well to level up late only to be outbobbed by the winner Emerald City on the line. Looking to make amends tomorrow and goes around at almost double the each-way quote.
