Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on June 3, 2016June 9, 2016 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Tips Race 1: DEL BASSO SMALLGOODS WA OWNED & OPERATED MS PACE RICIMER (9) was ultra-impressive at his WA debut when leading throughout in 1.55.7 then was far from disgraced when facing the breeze and finishing 5.6m from the winner in the same time. This looks a drop in class and he won’t have to run those times to win tonight. HOLY GRAIL (8) has been placed at his last seven starts, mostly from bad draws and will be charging home again. MANTOMAN (7) has improved at his last two and his form is good enough. DAMONDO (3) has been disappointing but can win if he races to his best. Tips: 9 8 7 3 Suggested Bet: RICIMER (9) to win. Race 2: DEL BASSO BUTCHERS THE LOMBARDO MARES QUALIFYING HEAT 1 BAILEYS GOLD (6) has hit form with two all the way wins in easier company but has been impressive in those victories. She rated 1.56.8 for the 2100 last start and is capable of overcoming a wider draw tonight. STRAITTOTHEHILTON (8) was a good winner in April but has finished down the track at her last two. She is drawn wide here but will appreciate a drop in class. AUCTIONEERS ELSU (3) is racing consistently and must be considered. GOTTA GOOD LOOKADDA (10) should get a soft run and looks a place chance. Tips: 6 8 3 10 Suggested Bet: STRAITTOTHEHILTON (8) each way. Race 3: DEL BASSO SMALLGOODS FRESH SAUSAGES MS PACE ANOTHER VINNIE (1) has been unplaced at his last eight starts and hasn’t finished within 50m of the winner at his last three but should be a big improver tonight. He was sent back to trials after breaking here last start and won at Byford in good style. He looks the leader if he does everything right. BRONZE SEEKER (8) looks suited by the small field and will be steaming home. OHOKA KENTUCKY (2) and ALGRANCO UNDER FIRE (3) weren’t beaten far in the same race in better company last start and will appreciate the draw. Tips: 1 8 2 3 Suggested Bet: ANOTHER VINNIE (1) to win. Race 4: DEL BASSO SMALLGOODS SALAMI DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP SS PACE OUR JERICHO (4) was enormous last week when he blew the stand and worked hard before finishing a close 2nd. He is normally a reasonable beginner and is the one to beat if he steps cleanly tonight. TWOANDAHALF TIGERS (3) extended his placing sequence to 17 with a solid 3rd in a mobile event last week and should be thereabouts again. IM MASTER CHARLIE (1) stepped cleanly but couldn’t lead last week and will be hoping to find the top from the pole. ERSKINE RANGE (8) had his chance when 3rd in the same race but will be fitter. Tips: 4 3 1 8 Suggested Bet: OUR JERICHO (4) to win. Race 5: DEL BASSO SMALLGOODS IN OSBORNE PARK MS PACE RUN ONEOVER (7) was well driven to record a soft victory two starts back before leading throughout in a track record 1.52.6 last week. He is drawn wide tonight but looks the class runner of the field and the one to beat. CRUSADER BANNER (4) was a 1.54.4 winner at his return and has been far from disgraced at his past two. He could find the top and will give them something to catch but the 2536m may be a concern. CHANGE GEAR (5) and MIGHTY FLYING THOMAS (6) are both flying and can play a part. Tips: 7 4 5 6 Suggested Bet: RUN ONEOVER (7) to win. Race 6: DEL BASSO FRESH MEATS MS PACE WAYLADE (3) has ran 2nd at his two starts back from a spell and has been impressive in both runs, including last week’s effort in finishing 4m from the winner in a track record 1.52.5. He will appreciate the 2130m journey tonight and is the one to beat. NORVIC NIGHTOWL (4) finished a close 3rd in the same race after two dominant wins and is a big hope. ELEGANT CHRISTIAN (5) beat WAYLADE (3) last start and can win again if he can find the front but SHARDONS ROCKET (1) will also be trying to lead and will give a sight if he holds up. Tips: 3 4 5 1 Suggested Bet: WAYLADE (3) to win. Race 7: DEL BASSO SMALLGOODS DIAMOND CLASSIC IM STYLISH (1) faced the breeze when a comfortable heat winner. She led throughout in 1.56.8 three starts back and will be hard to beat from the pole if she can hold up. RED HOT ROXY (3) has blistering gate speed and has used that to her advantage to win her last two starts and will be extremely hard to run down if she finds the top. ANGEL BROMAC (12) was the fastest heat winner and BEACH GODDESS (11) has won three of her last four in good fashion but both have had their winning chances dented severely by drawing the back row. Tips: 1 3 12 11 Suggested Bet: IM STYLISH (1) to win. Race 8: DEL BASSO SMALLGOODS MS PACE TRICKY STYX (8) won four of her last five starts before a break, including the Narrogin and Pinjarra Cups against hot fields. She resumes without a trial from the widest draw but looks suited by the small field and will be hard to beat. BETTOR OFFER (7) has won his last two starts in stands and looks a major player here. BURNING (2) was a nice 2nd last start and could give them something to catch if he can work his way to the front. SIR TOSTI MACH (6) is another suited by the small field and will be charging home. Tips: 8 7 2 6 Suggested Bet: TRICKY STYX (8) to win. Race 9: DEL BASSO FOODSERVICE MS PACE AMERICAN BOY (7) won his first four starts back from a spell convincingly before being severely checked when finishing 5th last start. He has had a month between runs but looks very hard to beat tonight. CYCLONE MITCH (9) has been placed at three of his last four after working in the run and that looks likely again here. LEFTRIGHTGOODNIGHT (1) is consistent and can be competitive from the pole, while UNSINKABLE BOXER (8) was impressive in leading throughout last week but draws wider tonight. Tips: 7 9 1 8 Suggested Bet: AMERICAN BOY (7) to win. Race 10: DEL BASSO SMALLGOODS EST 1957 3YO FILLIES MS PACE BETTOR BOA (8) has won three of her last four with the defeat being a game 2nd to Dodolicious in the WA Oaks. She accounted for a field similar to this at her last start and looks very hard to beat again. CHEVRONS CHAMPION (7) chased home her stablemate two starts back and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see her fill the quinella again. THE SPINSTER (6) and CHARGED TO THE MAX (1) have both won recently in easier company and should be thereabouts. Tips: 8 7 6 1 Suggested Bet: BETTOR BOA (8) to win. Bet Now!
