Greg Hooper’s Pinjarra Picks Posted on June 3, 2016June 7, 2016 | Posted by Greg Hooper Greg Hooper’s Preview RACE 1 Tough race to open the program. HERRON POINT missed the kick on debut and worked home nicely. Harvey sticks and he improves off that effort he goes close. GENERAL HUSSON comes from the same race where he is also ran well. SAMMY THE BOSS is the class dropper. FARALON has claims. Numbers – 5 – 4 – 8 – 3 Suggested Bet – Herron Point RACE 2 SONG OF WAR has his hoof firmly planted on the till and this looks his race after a strong second behind the talented Ellora May. BIG CABBAGE has been runner-up at his last two starts in ratings races. COULEUR BIZARRE improves sharply with the rise in distance. VANDELAGO didn’t get much luck first-up. Numbers – 11 – 1 – 2 – 12 Suggested Bet – Song Of War win RACE 3 JEZZA’S STAR finished strongly on debut. He has drawn the correct side for this straight race and if Jason Whiting can weave a passage he goes close. QUEENIE O’LARA was caught wide on debut and battled on well. TWO FOR TWENTY TWO ran well on debut back on February and has since trialled well. PLAY FOR PLEASURE disappointed on debut after being well supported. He can improve. Numbers – 9 – 10 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – Jezza’s Star and Queenie O’Lara RACE 4 LITTLE TRADER ran well in what looks a strong maiden first-up and her only start up the straight she finished on the heels of the placegetters. DIXIE WIN has drawn the wrong side however both her runs have been good. PUYSIEX has been caught wide at his last two starts and battled on solidly. GOLD SHIMMER is close to a win. Numbers – 12 – 9 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – Little Trader each-way RACE 5 AY NO DIGAS led at strong pace in town last Saturday and found the class too strong. This is a nice drop in grade and after the claim for Clint Johnston-Porter he only rises 1kg. He can give a big sight on the speed. GRINDABELLA has come back in good form and can win. BORN BLUE is racing well and will finish strongly. BLACK CHANT next best. Numbers – 1 – 6 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – Ay No Digas win RACE 6 HODGE PODGE shook his maiden with an impressive last to first win. From gate 2 he should settle much closer to the speed and be hard to beat. AWESOME AS ran well first-up and Pike retains the mount. FAMOUS SOMEDAY has been flat in both runs but he drops in class and is back at the track of his only win. BLACK FREDA won well on debut. Numbers – 1 – 5 – 3 – 7 Suggested Bet – Hodge Podge and Awesome As RACE 7 BUCKSHOT FLYER looks very well placed. He should sit right on the speed and be hard to run down. The former SA filly REGAL ROGUE creates plenty of interest. She resumes from a spell over a mile with Pike taking the ride. DANTE’S DESTINY is a horse on the rise. LITTLE PUNGA can give a sight on the speed. Numbers – 1 – 4 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – Buckshot Flyer and Regal Rogue RACE 8 Really good finish to the program. SILVER TRACE broke a long drought last start with an all-the-way win over this trip. She can repeat the medicine again. JINGTANG returns to Dan Morton stables after really turning it on at Kalgoorlie. He’ll get back and attack the line. TRANQUILLA SUNRISE impressed first-up. DANCE MINDY DANCE can lead or box seat. Numbers – 15 – 1 – 9 – 5 Suggested Bet – Silver Trace win QUADDIE RACE 5 – 1 – 2 – 4 – 5 – 6 RACE 6 – 1 – 3 – 5 – 7 RACE 7 – 1 – 2 – 4 RACE 8 – 1 – 5 – 7 – 9 – 12 – 15 – 16 Bet Now
