It was a Cox Plate Day for the ages for our latest Punter of the Week who placed a $10 multi on Saturday morning, coming away with a tick under $6,000 after the running of Race 5 at the Valley.

The bet was actually placed with a sixth leg, Young Werther ($2.30 favourite when the bet was placed) in Race 6 who was subsequently scratched.

With that leg included our punter would have been staring down the barrel of $18,000, or nothing, off the back of that final race…
