Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on March 26, 2024March 26, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 The debutants SIGNOR BILL and EPIMELES have both trialled/jumped out well enough to be hard to beat. INVINCIBLE BEAU has a fitness/experience advantage and gives the impression 1300m will be ok. PONTE ARCOBALENO was thrown in the deep end on debut and will appreciate dropping back in grade. Selections: 3,2,4,5 Suggested Bet: Leaning Signor Bill Race 2 Even contest. SABAN looks suited by the slight rise in trip after being held up at a crucial stage on debut. BRANDNU DEAL also shapes as through this trip will suit. KIRA worked home strongly second up and may settle closer from a low draw. HEED THE OMENS, MIXXIT and THOUGHTFUL WOMAN have claims. Selections: 7,3,10,5 Suggested Bet: Saban each way Race 3 Plenty of winning form to line up in another even contest. GALLANT PRINCE won well riding the speed against older horses first up and will give a sight again. PRINCE PRAWN is racing through the grades in good style and gives the impression 1600m will suit. ROCK THE BAR won an easier race in strong fashion last start after having excuses first up. ACTIVE DUTY gets blinkers first time and is in the mix with BIDEN TIME and CAPULET. Selections: 1,2,3,8 Suggested Bet: Gallant Prince each way Race 4 SUNSHINEINMYPOCKET has looked good winning his two starts to date and the step up to 1400m should not be an issue. BLOW IN hit the line well at his first run for the new stable and will appreciate stepping up to this trip. GWAN SO will be at peak fitness and can make his own luck. INTREPID EAGLE looks suited stepping back up to 1400m. Selections: 6,1,3,2 Suggested Bet: Sunshineinmypocket to win Race 5 PATCHOULI DREAM is getting up in the weights but stuck on ok in a stronger race last start and her pervious win here was strong. VIVIDNESS chased well behind a promising filly last time and should be suited by the rise in trip. JACKIE’S MAID overcame difficulties to win on debut and appears to have plenty of upside. COCO SUN will needs some luck from the inside draw but will be strong late. Selections: 1,13,5,2 Suggested Bet: Patchouli Dream each way Race 6 NIANCE was strong through the line winning her Australian debut over 1000m and has won over 1200m in NZ. BAY OF ZEA will make her own luck and measured up well coming out of maiden grade last start. MISS GALORE has obvious upside and has jumped out well but has the wide draw to overcome. ELDEBERRY has retuned in good form and can take advantage of the inside draw. Selections: 5,12,2,8 Suggested Bet: Niance each way Race 7 MANSIERE will strip fitter third up and worked home well in a strong race down the Flemington straight second up. PANTELONE maps for a good run and will appreciate the step up to 1200m. SNIPPETY LEGEND has jumped out well to resume for the new stable. SPEEDTAIL was ok late in the same race as Pantelone first up and will also appreciate 1200m. Selections: 13,9,12,11 Suggested Bet: Numbers 13,9,12 & 11 for the quaddie Race 8 Tough finish. AMPHACTOR ran well behind Bavicia second up and that horse ties quite a bit of this form together. DIVUS ROMULUS shapes as a promising stayer and with any luck from a low draw will be hard to hold out. SO SLEEK may be looking for this trip now and maps for a good run behind the speed. CASTEL TROSINO and AUSSIE NATION bring Bavicia form and have some claims. Selections: 14,10,8,13 Suggested Bet: Amphactor each way Market Market
