Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on September 5, 2023September 5, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 DOUBLE GLAZED has jumped out strongly to resume and looks suited at 1500m. BINOTTO closed off well on debut and also looks suite at this trip. PORTER was given a solid hit out during a recent jumpout and looks to have improved during his break. GOLD BULLION is likely to ride the speed and give a sight. Selections: 3,1,8,5 Suggested Bet: Double Glazed each way Race 2 AUSTMARR resumed with a solid win justifying her short quote. She’s raced well here and will strip fitter. TABATA SET has trialled well to resume and has been competitive in some strong races in her career to date. CHILLED has good speed and should give a sight at 1000m first up. GOLDIE had jumped out well prior to her debut victory and should be even better for the experience. Selections: 2,5,1,3 Suggested Bet: Austmarr to win Race 3 AKICITA won with authority on debut, he’s jumped out well since and looks to have plenty of upside. SOUTHPORT TYCOON recorded some impressive sectionals winning on debut and should relish the slight step up to 1300m. SNOW PATROL looked good winning here on debut and has jumped out ok (with Akicita) since. JEWEL BAY may control the speed at 1300m and be there for a long way. Selections: 3,4,2,1 Suggested Bet: Akicita to win Race 4 Competitive race. FAM GORMAN impressed winning an easier race last start. He seemed to relish the step up to 2200m and should cope with 2400m. STATE SQUAD was ok in a stronger race last time and gets the benefit of a small claim. MORNINGTON MASK hit the line well behind an in-form galloper when well supported at her latest run. HEREFORAGOODTIME, FLIGHT TO THE MOON, JUKILA and RAID THE BAR have claims. Selections: 9,4,12,6 Suggested Bet: FAM GORMAN each way Race 5 ETERNAL FLAME won well first and should be even better suited at 1400m. JENNIPENDING ran well against a talented stablemate following her maiden victory and appears to have plenty of upside. VERSILIA is racing well and should secure an economical run. FIASCO TESS was beaten by a smart one last week and can make her own luck. Selections: 2,8,6,3 Suggested Bet: Eternal Flame to win Race 6 ANILLA has run well at both starts this campaign and looks suited stepping up to 1300m. BOLDINHO hit the line well here last start and has been placed at 1300m. ZOUPURRING had no luck first up and is right in the game should he gain a start. BEL AIR has jumped out quite well to resume and looks suited at this trip first up. STRIPPED BACK and PEAK NOW are in the mix. Selections: 3,10,15,1 Suggested Bet: Anilla each way Race 7 LEGEND OF DUBAI ran well without the best of luck last start and looks well placed to record his first Australian victory. MAGICAL LAND didn’t have much room in the home straight first up and will appreciate the rise in distance. SPEYCASTER worked home strongly at his first Australian start and is another that looks suited at 1800m. RED PHANTOM will give a sight riding the speed. SHULTZY, FLOSSING and SIR ROCKFORD have some claims. Selections: 4,5,11,7 Suggested Bet: Legend Of Dubai to win Race 8 Tough finish. VIVIANNE is fit and flying. She takes on the boys and is getting up in the weights but races well here and can make her own luck. FIRE has jumped out quite well to resume and generally performs well first up. GET UP GIRL was well ridden to win first up at this trip. She may be looking for further but will appreciate what should be a strong tempo. FOR REAL LIFE has jumped out well to resume and is a previous first up winner. PORT ALBERT and STARZ BARWON have claims. Selections: 1,4,14,9 Suggested Bet: VIVIANNE each way Market Market
