Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Caulfield Preview Posted on December 17, 2024December 17, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 REACH THE PEAK hit the line strongly when finally clear last start and should relish 1800m. OLNEY and DARK SIMBA come through the other key form race and both shape as strong dangers. FOIRE DE THRONE should appreciate stepping up in distance and firmer ground. SAVAMOON can give a sight. Selections: 4,3,2,9 Suggested Bet: Reach The Peak to win Race 2 HUSTLE IN HEELS has jumped out particularly well and looks suited at 1200m on debut. TIME LAPSE and PICK ‘N’ MIX have both looked sharp at the jumpouts and may push forward from their draws. FLAT CHAT and HELLBERG have a fitness and experience advantage and map for good runs. THE VIKING is another to be trialling well for his debut. Selections: 8,5,9,7 Suggested Bet: Hustle In Heels each way Race 3 DAZZLING LUCY generally fires first up and has looked good in a couple of quiet jumpouts. FRAGILE LOVE is race fit and was held up at a crucial stage chasing an in-form galloper last start. WHISTLEFIELD looked typically sharp winning a recent jumpout. WRITTEN BLIGH, EXCESS and ANIA have all been jumping out nicely to resume. Selections: 2,5,1,6 Suggested Bet: Dazzling Lucy each way Race 4 JENNYANYDOTS is building a handy record, she’s jumped out in great style between runs and has the versatility to take advantage of a low draw. MR MAGNUS has won a couple of recent jumpouts and resumes with a decent first up record. SANTASIA had excuses and still closed off well last start. CASTELLAR has been a bit hit and miss to date but has jumped out well between runs. PANIGALE won well fist up in Adelaide and will strip fitter. BARNAGE has been most consistent in his career to date and is another to jump out well to resume. Selections: 7,3,9,6 Suggested Bet: Jennyanydots each way Race 5 DEEKAY will be charging late from his wide draw and drops in grade with the claim. BETTER LINK bled in Hong Kong after showing good promise here and has jumped out well to resume. FLYING ACE will strip fitter third up and is another that appears well placed with the claim. FUROSSHI and SIGNAL re fit and both had some excuses last time. Selections: 1,5,8,11 Suggested Bet: Deekay each way Race 6 The imported JUJA KIBO creates interest at his local debut, he’s moved well without being tested in a couple of recent trials and seems suited kicking off at this trip. INEXORABLE is most consistent and stuck on bravely after covering ground last start. MAISY has upside, she jumped out well a few weeks back and is right in the game if forward enough. CARICORN STAR and CHOSEN LEGEND both have a case Selections: 4,7,11,9 Suggested Bet: Juju Kibo each way Race 7 EARTH GOD hasn’t quite lived up to his early promise but get blinkers back on third up and has had some excuses this prep. STREET ELITE and SOCIAL CONSCIENCE come through the same race here and both look competitive again. INTIMEOFNEED and STOLEN ART both won their respective maidens well enough to warrant respect. Selections: 11,2,9,3 Suggested Bet: Earth God each way Race 8 KINGS VALLEY had his chance here last time but is racing in good form and Capulet has come out of that race to win subsequently. CAVALRY MAN found it too wet last time and shapes as a likely improver on the fresh side on firmer ground. PURVEYOR ran well here in a similar race first up and is sure to strip fitter. FRIDAY AT FIVE can give her usual honest sight. SOUND IT OUT broke her maiden in dominant style on heavy ground first up and may have improved during her break leading into that win. Selections: 7,3,5,6 Suggested Bet: Kings Valley to win Market Market
