Warren Huntly’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on June 21, 2024June 21, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 SNEAKY SUNSET looks hard to beat again. She impressed winning a similar race last start and has been kept up to the mark with a solid jumpout between runs. WARPARTY covered ground first up and gives the impression 1400m will suit. JENNI’S MEADOW also looks suited at 1400m and gets blinkers. HENLEIN was well supported to win his maiden on debut and that form held up at Wangaratta on Thursday. Selections: 4,10,5,3 Suggested Bet: Sneaky Sunset to win Race 2 ABERFELDIE BOY didn’t have much luck in the home straight last time, he’ll strip fitter and the extra distance suits. MIRZANN has been a touch frustrating but should be close to peak fitness and his best overseas form is at 2400m+. QUEEN TAKES KING has been building nicely and should also be approaching peak fitness. TARAMANSOUR had excuses last start and his previous form was strong. Selections: 4,11,10,9 Suggested Bet: Aberfeldie Boy each way Race 3 CRAIG looks highly promising, he charged late when finally clear last time and with better luck should justify his short quote. RISE AT DAWN was well rated to defeat Craig and will give a sight again. SOME PEOPLE CALLME had mixed luck in the same race and swaps winkers for blinkers. APACHE SONG had no luck at her latest run and is likely to roll more forward here. RED GALAXY looks progressive but takes a significant rise in grade. Selections: 5,1,2,4 Suggested Bet: Craig to win Race 4 BEOUR BAY was brave after covering ground last start and looks set for a much more economical run near the speed. STARLIGHT SCOPE will push forward from the draw and could prove hard to get past. JENNY JEROME was back to something like her best form last time and gets some weight relief. ELECTIC IMPULSE and BRAZEN LADY finished alongside Jenny Jerome in that race and have claims. Selections: 5,2,8,9 Suggested Bet: Beour Bay each way Race 5 VELOCE CARRO has relished straight racing this prep and looks hard to beat again. WHO DARES was well backed to win a listed race down the straight last start and shapes as a strong danger. ASHFORD STREET has returned in great form for the new stable and will strip fitter third up. EXTREMELY LUCKY is unknown down the straight but finished alongside Ashford Street last start and gets B.Shinn. Selections: 9,2,1,3 Suggested Bet: Veloce Carro to win Race 6 WINDSTORM has to prove himself at 1600m but he was very good against the pattern last week and gives the impression he’ll cope with the trip. KING OF THE CASTLE brings some solid NSW form and copped some interference last start. MUNHAMEK can’t be improving but continues to race in great form and gets the benefit of a small claim. SIBAAQ and ASCENSION look likely to control the tempo and can give a sight. Selections: 8,6,1,4 Suggested Bet: Windstorm each way Race 7 If GENERAL FIREPOWER gains a start he’ll give another great sight riding the speed. GEORGIE GET MAD looks another key speed influence and is racing in career best form. WATADEEL will strip fitter third up and swaps winkers for visors. ROGUE ROCKER gets down in the weights and will be strong late if he secures a start. BRITISH COLUMBIA and LAFARGUE are among the other winning hopes in a deep race. Selections: 16,14,8,17 Suggested Bet: General Firepower to win Race 8 ELIUD is an intriguing runner coming from NZ. He looks a bold front running galloper that is bred to appreciate this trip. LADY IN PINK was responsible for an enormous performance covering ground stepping up to this distance last start. If she can reproduce that effort, she’ll take a power of beating again. STEEL RUN comes through the same race and will be strong late. BURLINGTON GATE, BOGA LEGEND and MOTORACE have claims. Selections: 5,1,6,11 Suggested Bet: Eliud each way Race 9 OAK HILL sees the straight for the first time but has returned in outstanding form and has displayed great acceleration to win both runs this campaign. THE BLACK CLOUD is building a good record and stuck on bravely after covering ground last start. MARBLE NINE was heavily backed and measured up well when running second down the straight last time. PRINZERRO finished alongside Marble Nine and is open to improvement second up. WALLENDA was solid in the same race and his form also ties in with The Black Cloud. Selections: 1,2,5,10 Suggested Bet: Oak Hill each way Same Race Multi Race 4: Beour Bay (Top 2) + Starlight Scope (Top 4) Market Market
