Warren Huntly’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on March 1, 2024March 7, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 SANS DOUTE has shown a great affinity for the straight and has jumped out well between runs. CINDERELLA DAYS won the much talked about ‘Imperatriz’ trial in great style to resume for the new stable. CUTE AS chased well down the straight over this trip last time. WALTZ ON BY generally improves with a run under her belt but has been jumping out quite well. Selections: 4,1,7,2 Suggested Bet: Qu/Ex 4 & 1 Race 2 ARAMCO was forced to do some early work last start but ultimately had his chance. He looks to control the tempo again and should prove hard to get past. KETTLE HILL needs to be exposed late but has found the winning habit of late and will be charging home. STRAWBERRY ROCK may have been flattered by the pattern last time but will strip fitter third up and will be suited by the rise in distance. UP AND UNDER is a likely improver stepping up in trip at his second Australian start Selections: 7,1,4,5 Suggested Bet: Aramco to win Race 3 BIG WATCH bounced back to his best down the straight over 1100m last start and is a winner at 1200m. IVAN’S HERO has been jumping out well and brings a strong first up record. SOUTHERN FIRE chased well behind Big Watch and C. Williams takes over. MASTER MONTARO missed a run over 1400m due to an abandoned meeting but is in good form and gets winkers on for the drop back in trip. MORAL FORCE and BLOW IN have claims. Selections: 6,8,11,2 Suggested Bet: Big Watch each way Same Race Multi: Big Watch (Top 2) + Ivan’s Hero (Top 4) Race 4 Plenty to learn. ALWAYS ENUFF has looked sharp winning a couple of recent jumpouts in good style. BOLD BASTILLE looked outstanding winning on debut, she had an interrupted prep leading into a tough first up run and pulled up with a degree of lameness. If she’s at her best, she’d be the one to beat. DRIFTING can get a touch keen but won well on debut and if she copes with the straight should be in the finish. GRINZINGER LOVE is one of many debutants to show talent at the trials/jumpouts. Selections: 6,1,5,7 Suggested Bet: Always Enuff each way Race 5 Competitive race. MOESHA appeared to be in inferior ground first up but still ran well behind a promising galloper that looks hard to beat later on the program. PEACE TREATY was able to win impressively on good ground last start and has jumped out in good style between runs. SATIN AND SILK won an easier race last start and has jumped out in great style since. INHIBITIONS has to concede weight to the rest of the field but has trialled well and should be strong late. BONNIE AMORE ran slick time winning her maiden in great style on debut. Selections: 5,3,2,1 Suggested Bet: Moesha each way Race 6 ANOTHER WIL takes another rise in great but his upside is impossible to overlook and he looks destined for even better races. CEERSEVEN is having a terrific prep, he also has some upside and may settle closer from a low draw. MAGNASPIN will be at peak fitness now and can make his own luck. PIAGGIO and ZAMBORGHINI have some claims. Selections: 6,3,5,2 Suggested Bet: Another Wil to win Race 7 ESTRIELLA may have found the right part of the track recording an impressive victory first up but she’s always displayed above average ability and should be even fitter. CABALLUS has returned in great form for the new stable who have a great record of travelling horses to Melbourne. ROBRICK has been kept fresh and will be strong late. MUMBAI MUSE was well below her best first up but has trialled well since and is a winner down the straight. RAIKOKE backs up from a Group 3 win, he has obvious upside and can make his own luck. Selections: 8,1,5,7 Suggested Bet: Estriella each way Race 8 RIFF ROCKET had the tempo to suit first up but has will appreciate the step up to 1600m shapes as the one to beat again. KING COLORADO will strip even fitter third up, he gets blinkers back on and ran well behind Riff Rocket. VEIGHT brings Group 1 WFA form and maps to get every chance to run 1600m out strongly. There’s not much between SOUTHPORT TYCOON and SNOW PATROL from their meetings to date and they are both in the mix Selections: 1,3,2,12 Suggested Bet: Riff Rocket to win Race 9 ATISHU will appreciate getting back to Flemington and stepping up to 1600m. AYRTON continues to race well and maps for a soft run. CARINI has upside, he’ll strip fitter and will also appreciate the step up to 1600m. MURAMASA has jumped ok to kick off at a suitable trip. HOLYMANZ maps for a good run and has claims on his best form. Selections: 2,5,14,4 Suggested Bet: Atishu each way Race 10 AARAN BAY has a great second up record. He covered ground first up and under the circumstances there was plenty of merit in his run. Through that race HE’S OUR BONNEVAL and LOUNGE BAR RUBI have obvious claims. SO RISQUE won well over this course and distance two starts back and his last run in Sydney was solid. SANDY PRINCE draws for a good run. FRIGID has been jumping out well. Selections: 4,7,2,5 Suggested Bet: Arran Bay each way Market Market
