Warren Huntly’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on January 19, 2024January 19, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 BERMADEZ gets his chance to record another victory. He’s racing well in better races and the drop back to 1600m should be no issue. SUPARAZI won well in an easier race over the course and distance last week and looks the danger. BEEHUNTER can pull out a run here and gets blinkers back on. Selections: 2,1,6,4 Suggested Bet: Bermadez to win Race 2 GALILAUEUS ran well without much luck at his first Australian start and looks well placed stepping up in distance on a spacious track. ONE LAST KISS is racing in good form and covered ground last time. WERTHEIMER returned to something like his best last start and if he can string two together has obvious claims. WINDS OF MARCH improved nicely to win an easier race last time and is open to further improvement. Selections: 8,9,5,11 Suggested Bet: Galilaeus to win Race 3 RICH LOVER ran well in a good form race here last start and should give another great sight on speed. DOLLAR CHASER has been hitting the line strongly and gives the impression 1200m will suit now. SHAIME should also appreciate 1200m backing up from a solid second up run over 1000m last week. HOOAH HAVANA has form that ties in with Rich Lover through Empressive Enuff and is building a handy record. Selections: 5,4,9,1 Suggested Bet: Rich Lover each way Race 4 AUSTAMARR has been jumping out in typically good style and brings a strong first up record. STEFFI MAGNETICA bolted in first up at Orange. Not sure how that form lines up but the stable have a good record in identifying the right horses to bring here. CELESTIAL STORM won well hete first up and is a second up winner. SPICY MARGS was beaten by a promising galloper last start and will make her own luck. Selections: 1,7,2,3 Suggested Bet: Austmarr to win Race 5 KIN has been frustrating but has had legitimate excuses of late. A LITTLE DEEP appreciated the firmer ground to bounce back last start and will be hitting the line strongly with Kin. SANS DOUTE impressed winning an easier race over 1000m here last time and steeping out to 1100m should be ok. Selections: 4,1,2,7 Suggested Bet: Kin to win Race 6 NAVAL SEAL has retuned in good form and may settle in a handy spot from a low draw. ZAMBOGHINI had no luck last time but hit the line strongly over this trip. BOTANY will strip fitter for an encouraging return, that form has held up well and the extra 200m is in her favour. SON OF SOLLY will strip fitter and appreciate firm ground. Selections: 11,1,5,9 Suggested Bet: Naval Seal each way Race 7 RAY MAGNERIO races well down the straight and will strip fitter for his gritty win at Geelong. JUNGLE JIM controlled the race to win well here last week and will prove hard to run down again. DEHORNED UNICORN has also accepted to race in Brisbane. He had no luck in Sydney last start and is unknown down the straight, but the booking of Shinn is a positive. PINK BEAU TY has obvious claims after proving too strong for Jungle Jim last start. Selections: 3,1,4,9 Suggested Bet: 3,1,4 & 9 for quaddie Race 8 Competitive race. GRETA MOON is flying at her first full preparation for the Payne stable and is open to further improvement from her dominant win here last start. OCEANS ABOVE hit the line well in a key lead up race and could be looking for 2000m now. TORRANZINO is a handy stayer in the making and looks well placed rising to 2000m third up. DIVINE PURPOSE got to far back last start and swaps the nose roll for winkers. SLANE overcame difficulties to win an easier race in good style at his latest run. Selections: 12,7,10,14 Suggested Bet: Greta Moon each way Same Race Multi: R8 Greta Moon (Top 2) + Oceans Above (Top 4) Race 9 Another competitive race. BEL AIR is fit and in-form, D.Lane sticking is a plus. BRITISH COLUMBIA covered ground first up and has jumped out well between runs. ELKINGTON ROAD hit the line nicely first up, he’s also jumped out well between runs and will appreciate the extra 200m. HE’S OUR BONNEVAL can be effective first up and has jumped out nicely alongside British Columbia. RIOT AND ROSE has been jumping out in good style to resume from an injury enforced lay off. Selections: 10,11,9,7 Suggested Bet: Bel Air each way Race 10 JOHNNY ROCKER has been jumping out in good style to resume for the new stable and was well supported as soon as markets opened. WIGGUM is a straight track winner and looks well placed coming back to 1000m on the fresh side. MORNINGTON GLORY was beaten by a smart one last start. He’s fit and races well down the straight. MANHATTAN THUNDER has been kept fresh after winning over this trip at Moonee Valley first up. Selections: 5,2,6,7 Suggested Bet: Johnny Rocker to win Market Market
