Warren Huntly’s Saturday Cranbourne Preview Posted on November 24, 2023November 24, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 UNQUESTIONABLY appreciated the rise in distance to break through last start and drops in weight for the rise in grade. WARMONGER is building a good record and drops in grade following his stakes win last start. SENTIMENTAL FLAME has had a gap between runs but her form is hard to fault. HYDROGEN POWER broke through in good style last time and shapes as through this trip will suit. Selections: 3,1,2,4 Suggested Bet: Unquestionably each way Race 2 JEWEL BAY looked most uncomfortable on the inside of the pack down the straight over 1000m at her latest run and won well here over this trip at her previous start. WIGGUM won that race down the straight and was strong over the line when tested at 1250m. BRAVE MEAD is fit and consistent but faces the challenge of another drop back in distance. PEACE TREATY won well on heavy ground on debut and has jumped out quite well to kick off her second preparation. Selections: 3,2,1,6 Suggested Bet: Jewel Bay each way Race 3 KAZOU looks to control the tempo and shapes as the one to beat, she has raced well with her runs spaced previously. CLIMBING STAR pulled up with a slow recovery last start and might be better suited at 1400m. REVOLUTIONARY MISS may not have been best suited leading last time and swaps blinkers for winkers. HEALING OASIS should appreciate the rise in distance and is a previous second up winner. Selections: 4,6,1,5 Suggested Bet: Kazou to win Race 4 CHIHULY had no luck in the home straight last start after overcoming difficulties to win at his previous start. He gives the impression he’ll appreciate 2500m. KING’S CROSSING will strip fitter for his last start victory and seems to appreciate having a month or so between runs. LODBROK shapes as a genuine stayer and should relish the extra 300m. YELLOWBRICK ROAD has returned to something like his early promising form for the new stable. HAARACAINE has found winning form when stepping out to 2000m+ and has claims in a deep race. Selections: 5,2,7,3 Suggested Bet: Chihuly each way Same Race Multi: Chihuly (Top 2) + Lodbrok (Top 4) Race 5 STARZ BARWON probably doesn’t want too much rain but he’s effective fresh and has jumped out in typically good style between runs. MAMARAGAN covered ground last start and maps for a more economical run. PINK BEAU TY is racing in good form and drops in grade. LUNA CAT also drops in grade and should appreciate a solid tempo. SOUTH OF HOUSTON, WHO SHOT SUZY and NASRAAWY are in the mix. Selections: 6,2,13,10 Suggested Bet: Starz Barwon each way Race 6 BEL AIR drops in grade following an encouraging run at Bendigo, he gets blinkers back on and has jumped out well between runs. RUMBLED AGAIN is yet to win first up but has jumped out in great style and looks forward for her next campaign. IS IT ME has had excuses of late but brings about some of his bad luck through his racing manners, the wide draw may be a positive for him. FREE WILLED had a fruitful first preparation and has jumped out well to resume. ZAMBORGHINI won well first up and has jumped out nicely since with Bel Air. MISS MIDDLE PARK did enough first up and should get every chance to run 1300m from the draw. Selections: 1,4,6,11 Suggested Bet: Bel Air each way Race 7 GLENTANEOUS worked home well in key lead up race that was dominated closer to the speed. GREGOLIMO arguably cost himself that race by laying in and gest a bubble cheeker near side. HOLYMANZ won that race and should make his own luck near the speed again. MATRON BULLWINKEL comes through a different form line but tested Foxy Frida last start and may be looking for this trip now. CHANDON BURJ and FIRE GLO TOO have a case. Selections: 10,1,6,3 Suggested Bet: Glentaneous each way Race 8 TWIN PERFECTION had excuses first up, he’s jumped out well since and his form last preparation gives him a lightweight chance. RICH FORTUNE may have peaked on her run first up, she’ll strip fitter and gets a tongue tie on. MIDWEST has jumped out in typically sharp style and will give them something to chase. GENERATION needs another win but has been going ok in predominantly stronger races. Selections: 8,6,3,2 Suggested Bet: Twin Perfection each way Race 9 FOXY CLEOPATRA was an eye catcher first up over 1400m after a lengthy break and is a previous second up winner over this trip. JUST FOLK was on the heels of the placegetters in a stronger race last start and any rain would be a bonus. ASCENSION has been kept up to the mark with a solid jumpout between runs. HERE TO SHOCK maps for a good run on the speed. EUPHORIC has upside but faces a significant rise in grade. Selections: 9,2,4,3 Suggested Bet: Foxy Cleopatra each way Race 10 JIMMYSSTAR was well supported to win his first Australian start in impressive style. He should strip fitter and the step up to 1500m looks suitable. TASMAN PARK has jumped out well to resume at a suitable trip and any rain would enhance his chances. MOVEFORLEX will be better over further but looked sharp in a recent trial and is a previous first up winner. HE’S BESET was close up in the same race as Jimmysstar and covered additional ground on that occasion. Selections: 5,1,2,6 Suggested Bet: Jimmysstar to win Market Market
