Warren Huntly’s Saturday Caulfield Preview Posted on May 31, 2024May 31, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Competitive race to start. BLUE RENEGADE has been very good at his two runs to date and appeared to have maintained his sharpness with a jumpout win between runs. INTEREST POINT impressed winning on debut on his home track, he should roll forward and shapes as a strong winning hope. STAY SILENT has been well educated at trials and jumpouts and looks ready to make his presence felt on debut. HUSK controlled the race to win first up and will strip fitter. EARTH GOD has trialled well with blinkers on. Selections: 1,3,7,4 Suggested Bet: Blue Renegade each way Race 2 SUBRISING seemed to appreciate the step up to 1600m last start and can measure up to this stronger contest. STYLISH was forced wide from back in the field in stakes company last time, she can settle closer from a low draw and drops in grade. MY XANADU and KNUCKLEBONES come through the same race and both had some excuses on that occasion. GINGER SWEET got a deserved maiden win last start, this is obviously tougher but she’s fit consistent and gets winkers on. Selections: 2,3,5,1 Suggested Bet: Subrising each way Race 3 ARQANA has returned in good form, she was luckless two runs back, then hit the line strongly in a leader dominated race last start. EPISODIC is racing through the grades in impressive fashion in SA and has been placed at this trip. PRINCESS RAYAA has been consistent through her career to date, she maps well and will strip fitter third up. AMANI is another in good form and gets down in the weights after the claim. Selections: 11,2,6,10 Suggested Bet: Arqana each way Race 4 HEARCOMESTHESTAR was forced to change course in a key lead up race last start and should appreciate getting back up to 1100m. ALVARINHO brings a decent first up record and the stakes form in Tassie last prep reads well. HEART OF GLASS is building a good record and won the race that Hearcomesthestar comes through. LUNA CAT has jumped out well to resume. Selections: 14,2,10,3 Suggested Bet: Hearcomesthestar each way Same Race Multi: Hearcomesthestar (Top 2) + Alvarinho (Top 4) Race 5 PRANCING SPIRIT was luckless two starts back then forced to race in inferior ground last time. BELLINGER is fit, consistent and hit the line strongly in the same race as Prancing Spirit last start. FIRST MATE has jumped out in great style and seems big odds in early markets. BEWS was a bit plain second up, he’s been back to the jumpouts and would be right in the game on his first up run. Selections: 12,8,10,15 Suggested Bet: Prancing Spirit each way Race 6 TWIN PERFECTION had excuses from a low draw start and that race ties a lot of this form together. ASHFORD SREET won that race and will strip fitter for his first run for an in-form stable. SENEGALIA brings a different form line and has jumped out impressively since a forgivable run in the Wangoom. EXTEMELY LUCKY can mix his form but has a bit of X factor and is drawn to have clear air late. VIVANNE and LA DANSEUSE ROUGE come through the Ashford Street race and have claims. Selections: 8,1,5,4 Suggested Bet: Twin Perfection each way Race 7 JIMMY THE BEAR chased well behind a strong speed in Adelaide and will be close to his top third up. HIGHLIGHTS got too far back before chasing strongly in a leader dominated race last week. MUNHAMEK can’t be improving but hasn’t had much luck lately and has finally drawn a gate. ST LAWRENCE has a touch of class and will strip fitter for an encouraging return. DASHIG fought back bravely to win here two starts back and will give a sight. Selections: 3,9,1,7 Suggested Bet: Jimmy The Bear each way Race 8 PIVOT CITY has returned to something like his early promising form, he drops in grade and has jumped out nicely between runs. LOVELY LOOKIN’ had no luck at Group 3 level last start and her previous run ties in well with Pivot City. SHE’SALLSHENANIGANS is posted up the top of the weights but she’s fit, consistent and can make her own luck. BATRANA has jumped out in good style to resume with blinkers off. Selections: 2,11,1,14 Suggested Bet: Sioux Spirit each way Race 9 MIRZANN has produced two encouraging runs since arriving in Aus and gives the impression he’s looking for 2000m. TROSETTEE has returned in good form, he backs up from good closing effort over 1600m last week and is a winner out to 2100m. AMBERITE defeated Mirzann at his first Australian start since crossing from NZ and is open to further improvement. DSHINGIS PRESTIGE was luckless at his local debut and will strip fitter for his encouraging effort last start. Selections: 15,12,14,18 Suggested Bet: Mirzann to win Market Market
