Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on May 4, 2017May 5, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1: GANNONS.COM.AU MS PACE HARRY HOO (8) raced in top 4YO company last campaign and resumed from a spell when a close up 4th to Red Hot Major when they ran home in 54.7. The last 800 won’t be as quick here and he is capable of overcoming the wide draw. WIMBALIRI (6) led throughout to beat weaker company two starts back and will give them something to catch if he crosses early. EL HOMBRE (2) disappointed when beaten as a $1.30 favourite last start but has the draw to be in the finish. VANQUISHED (9) is drawn poorly but drops in class from his 4th last week. Tips: 8 6 2 9 Suggested Bet: HARRY HOO (8) each way. Race 2: GANNON`S HARNESS COLOURS MS PACE MILITARY MASTER (11) has faced the breeze at his last two for a strong 2nd to REAL ZEAL (5) and then a win at Narrogin. He has a nice trailing draw and should go close. MANTOMAN (1) led and was only beaten 2.7m by Im Free Falling last week and has the addition of blinkers tonight. A FORCE IN ACTION (3) couldn’t get into the race last start but was extremely consistent before that and should be thereabouts. REAL ZEAL (5) has scored upset wins at his last two and shouldn’t be overlooked. Tips: 11 1 3 5 Suggested Bet: MILITARY MASTER (11) each way. Race 3: GANNON`S MANUFACTURING IN WA MS PACE SHANDALE (6) has made a big impression in his three WA runs with two wins and a 2nd in good times. He led throughout to easily win in 1.55.3 for the 2100 last week and is the one to beat despite going up considerably in class tonight. EYRE CRUSHER (8) has been a beaten favourite at his last two but hasn’t enjoyed the best of trips on those occasions and can bounce back here. LISHARRY (7) is the other class runner but isn’t suited by the 1730m. BRAEVIEW BOMBER (1) hasn’t fired at his two runs back but can improve from this draw. Tips: 6 8 7 1 Suggested Bet: SHANDALE (6) to win. Race 4: GANNON`S TROPHIES & AWARDS THE PURE STEEL QUALIFYING HEAT 1 LIVURA (6) has improved at his three runs this campaign, culminating in a good win over Frostyflyer and Risk at Bunbury. He is awkwardly drawn but will be finishing strongly at each way odds. IN NYROBI (1) goes up in class on his recent assignments but is drawn to lead and will give them something to catch. AMERICANBOOTSCOOTA (10) is drawn to get a nice trail and will be hard to hold out if he has any luck in the last lap. OVERBOARD AGAIN (11) was unfancied first up but recorded an impressive win and must be respected. Tips: 6 1 10 11 Suggested Bet: LIVURA (6) each way. Race 5: GANNON`S FLAGS & BANNERS MS PACE OHOKA PUNTER (9) was a dominant winner at his first start for the Hall camp and then lost no admirers when 3rd in The Easter Cup off a 50m handicap. He returns to the mobile and is clearly the one to beat despite the wide draw. HEEZ ON FIRE (7) unleashed a dazzling sprint to win first up and looks the main danger. AMERICAN BOY (8) finished 2nd to OHOKA PUNTER (9) two starts back and should be thereabouts again. BETTOR REWARD (12) hasn’t handled the step up to open company but is likely to perform better driven cold here. Tips: 9 7 8 12 Suggested Bet: OHOKA PUNTER (9) to win. Race 6: RACE FOR ROSES MARES DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP SS PACE SHEER ROCKNROLL (12) has won two of her last three, including a strong win over FOXY DAME (10) here last week. This is her first start run from the stand and she has the back mark but is race fit and should give a great sight. DODOLICIOUS (11) is the class mare of the field who is also having her first start from the stand but saw the tapes in a recent Byford trial and must be respected. FOXY DAME (10) continues to race consistently and should be in the finish again. CHEVRONS CHAMPION (8) ran on nicely first up. Tips: 12 11 10 8 Suggested Bet: SHEER ROCKNROLL (12) each way. Race 7: GANNON`S WA OAKS MACZAFFAIR (1) has proven to clearly be the state’s best filly and would have been hard to beat from any barrier so it is hard to see her being beaten from the pole. GOTTA GO GABBANA (2) was an enormous 2nd to MACZAFFAIR (1) when starting from the outside barrier last start and looks the only danger from this draw. RED HOT ROXY (10) should get a lovely run and looks a great place chance. HIT IT RICH (12) is a nice filly but will find it hard from the back row. Tips: 3 6 1 9 Suggested Bet: MACZAFFAIR (1) to win. Race 8: GANNON`S HARNESS SADDLE CLOTHS MARES MS PACE MY PLATINUM BELLE (1) was runner-up on three consecutive occasions before finding the front and recording a comfortable victory at Bunbury. She should lead again here and is clearly the one to beat. DAME PUISSANT (10) was well commissioned last week but couldn’t handle the pressure. She looks better suited in this company. SHES ARTFUL (5) hasn’t had much luck in her two runs back from a spell and can improve. SHES TURBO CHARGED (9) is racing well enough to win this but has a wide draw to overcome. Tips: 1 10 5 9 Suggested Bet: DAME PUISSANT (10) each way. Race 9: GANNON`S PONY TROTS AT GLOUCESTER PARK 3YO MS PACE RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN (8) started favourite in the WA Derby and worked hard before finishing 8th. He bounced back with a narrow win over EL BARCELONA (6) and is the one to beat again. EL BARCELONA (6) has very similar form lines and will be trying to use his barrier advantage to reverse the result of their last meeting. HERRICK ROOSEVELT (7) is right up with his stablemates on ability but may not be as well suited over the 1730m. TISADREAM (1) doesn’t have the class of his rivals but has the pole over the sprint trip. Tips: 8 6 7 1 Suggested Bet: RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN (8) to win. SuperPick – Race 9 no. 8 RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN – Money Back – Run 2nd Race 10: GANNON`S SUPPORTING WA HARNESS WESTBRED MS PACE MUSCLE TORQUE (1) has gradually been working back to peak form and is nearly there after a solid 2nd to Ultimate Flyer in 1.56.7 followed by a narrow but solid win. He has drawn the pole and looks very hard to beat. THEREUGO (5) is a quick beginner who crossed from barrier nine to lead throughout and beat New World Order at his last start before a spell which is very good form for a race of this nature. SOHO WALL STREET (6) and FOUR LEGGED FRENZY (11) both finished worse than midfield at their last runs but can improve. Tips: 1 5 6 11 Suggested Bet: MUSCLE TORQUE (1) to win. Bet Now!
