Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on October 17, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 VINCENZO PERUGGIA (2) has a losing sequence of 19 but has been racing well recently and gets his chance to break back into the winners’ circle from his perfect draw tonight. ROBB STARK (4) faced the breeze here last week and was going to run a clear 3rd but copped a bad check in the home straight and looks the main danger. MAXIMUM DEMAND (10) won a recent trial after over-racing at his last start and looks a good place chance. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE (12) has won two of his past three but this looks harder. Tips: 2 4 10 12 Suggested Bet: VINCENZO PERUGGIA (2) to win. Race 2 WILDWEST (10) is undefeated in his five career starts and is clearly the one to beat despite the awkward draw and resuming without s trial. ROBBIE EASTON (7) will find this easier than his last assignment and can win if his favoured stablemate runs into trouble. DENNIS (6) has been placed at his past five starts and can be in the money again. BLACK MAGIC MARA (1) goes up a long way in class on his consecutive wins but is drawn to be a good place chance. Tips: 10 7 6 1 Suggested Bet: WILDWEST (10) to win. Race 3 CARTER MICHEAL (5) has been placed at nine of his past 11 starts and is getting close to another win. He overcame a wide draw when 4th here last week and should get a nice trip tonight. CUT FOR AN ACE (2) hasn’t been dangerous of late but should be a big improver if he can find the front here. CLARENDEN HUSTLER (10) hasn’t been suited facing the breeze at his last two starts and will be charging home if he has any luck in the final circuit. BLACK JACK ZAC (1) is drawn to get a lovely run and can play a part. Tips: 5 2 10 1 Suggested Bet: CARTER MICHEAL (5) to win. Race 4 MIGHTY CONQUEROR (7) won three on end before doing things wrong on the first corner but put up an enormous effort to finish 3rd here last week. He has the advantage of race fitness over his main rivals and can overcome the wide draw. PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (3) raced well against the state’s best 3YO’s last season and should make his presence felt from this draw. CONVERT DENARIO (10) was flying before a short let-up and must be considered here. STARLIGHT BRIGADE (1) is a place chance from the pole. Tips: 7 3 10 1 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY CONQUEROR (7) to win. Race 5 MOTU PREMIER (11) couldn’t make up the ground in quick last half here last week but hit the line hard and looks suited by his trailing draw tonight. SIMBA BROMAC (2) is the best drawn of the main chances and will be hard to catch if he finds the front. OUR CORELLI (9) has the best form in the race but has a horror draw to overcome. SPEED MAN (3) led throughout to defeat a similar field here last week and must be considered again. Tips: 11 2 9 3 Suggested Bet: MOTU PREMIER (11) to win. Race 6 KING OF SWING (2) is one-dimensional but he should win if he finds the front here and can still play a part if forced to breeze in this company. THEREUGO (6) flies the gate and will give plenty of cheek if he crosses easily. MAD ROBBER (1) led throughout to win consecutive races here recently but may elect to sit tonight and should be thereabouts. WALKINSHAW (4) will find this easier than his last start 11th and can make his presence felt. Tips: 2 6 1 4 Suggested Bet: MAD ROBBER (1) each way. Race 7 ARMA INDIE (3) won four on end to start her campaign before being beaten by Just Rockon Bye last start. She is nicely drawn here and is clearly the one to beat. ROSIES IDEAL (6) is fitter after two runs back from a spell and looks the main danger. PARISIAN PARTYGIRL (1) is always a place chance when drawn well and should be thereabouts from the pole. TAJIE BABY (2) has led throughout to win her last two starts but will find this harder. Tips: 3 6 1 2 Suggested Bet: ARMA INDIE (3) to win. Race 8 OVERBOARD AGAIN (2) impressed at his first run back from a spell when a strong 2nd to Mighty Flying Deal. He is better drawn tonight and should prove hard to beat. SHOCKWAVE (3) raced well against the state’s best 3YO’s last campaign and must be respected at his return. ACE BROMAC (1) was a good winner here three starts back and will get his chance from the pole tonight. EL HOMBRE (6) hasn’t had much luck of late and can improve here. Tips: 2 3 1 6 Suggested Bet: OVERBOARD AGAIN (2) to win. Race 9 BELTANE (2) had a month between runs but faced the breeze and was too strong for his rivals at Wagin. This is a step up in class but that is offset by his perfect draw and he should give a great sight. OUR PERKINS (4) has impressed in leading throughout at his past two starts and must be respected again. ANOTHER VINNIE (1) hasn’t been far away and can be a big improver from the pole. PRADAS IDEAL DAHLING (7) broke through here in a weaker field at his last start and will be charging home tonight. Tips: 2 4 1 7 Suggested Bet: BELTANE (2) each way. Race 10 SERGEANT OATS (4) faced the breeze and was only beaten 4.5m when 5th to Our Perkins last week and looks hard to beat in this moderate affair. CARRERA MACH (3) ran on to finish 4th in the same event and looks the main danger. SEA ME SMILE (2) is racing consistently and should be thereabouts again from her nice draw. WHITBYS GAMBLE (1) did lead throughout here five starts back in solid time so must be respected. Tips: 4 3 2 1 Suggested Bet: SERGEANT OATS (4) to win. Market Market
