The Scout: EPL Matchday 9 Posted on October 17, 2019October 18, 2019 | Posted by The Scout Bournemouth vs Norwich 19th October, 10pm WST Bournemouth (10th) went undefeated through September, with their last-start 1-0 loss to Arsenal the first time all season they haven’t scored a goal. Norwich’s 3-2 win over Manchester City now feels like a lifetime ago. The Canaries have lost three straight and now find themselves in 19th spot on the table. They’re looking a lot like the worst team in the League. Whatever magic Norwich had has completely gone. They are struggling on both ends of the pitch –scoring just once in their last three matches, and just once on the road all season. With 21 goals conceded, they also boast the worst defensive in the Premier League. Grim. Norwich have lost all four of their away fixtures this season, all by two goals or more. With six of Bournemouth’s last seven games seeing 2+ goals, I’m expecting plenty of chances and a big Bournemouth win. Suggested Bet: Bournemouth Win & Over 2.5 Goals @ $2.18* Chelsea vs Newcastle United 19th October, 10pm WST Under the guidance of club hero Frank Lampard (and without Eden Hazard) Chelsea have seemingly flown under the radar into 5th spot – just two points behind Manchester City. Newcastle look like they’ll be fighting all season to avoid relegation, with last matchday’s shock win over Manchester United worth its weight in gold. This new look Chelsea squad is averaging 16.6 attempts at goal per game, second only to Manchester City. At the forefront of this is 22-year-old English striker, Tammy Abraham. Abraham’s eight goals for the season has him tied with Sergio Agüero for most in the Premier League. On the road Newcastle have a record of one win and three losses, conceding a worrying 11 goals in these matches. Chelsea have scored the third most goals (18) this season and I can’t see them slowing down here. As the starting #9, Abraham will be heavily involved and I expect him to find the back of the net once again. Suggested Bet: Tammy Abraham Anytime Goalscorer @ $1.75* Wolverhampton vs Southampton 19th October, 10pm WST Wolverhampton went winless in their opening six games, but have won their last two – including a 2-0 away victory against Manchester City 17th placed Southampton are back in relegation danger having lost three in a row, conceding nine goals in the process. Wolverhampton should be full of confidence and will be looking to continue their sharp ascent of the League table. Their back to back wins have come via two clean sheets which points to their defense being back to its stingiest best. With Southampton struggling for consistency, they couldn’t have found a worse time to meet a revitalized Wolves outfit. At this point in the season, these two teams look to be heading in completely different directions. Suggested Bet: Match Result Wolverhampton @ $1.81* *Odds correct as at 10.50am, 18th October 2019.
