Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 12, 2019July 12, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 BATAVIA ON FIRE (1) has faced the breeze and been placed at his past two starts and gets his chance to break back into the winners’ circle tonight. He isn’t the quickest beginner but looks to have enough speed to hold up and should prove very hard to catch. ONE OFF DELIGHT (11) is better suited on the pace but should still be right in the finish from his nice trailing draw. BELTANE (2) started from a wide draw and finished alongside the favourite at his last start and must be considered. KENNYS REVENGE (10) looks a good place chance. Tips: 1 11 2 10 Suggested Bet: BATAVIA ON FIRE (1) to win. Race 2 THEREUGO (1) has attempted to lead throughout in stronger company at his last three starts and came up short. He looks better suited against this field over the sprint trip and should be very hard to beat. THE WAR NURSE (10) is racing extremely consistently and will get the run of the race from this draw and should be dangerous late. BETTOR B ABELIEVER (12) now starts from one off the pegs on the second line and should get a nice run in transit. MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (2) will settle handy from this barrier and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 1 10 12 2 Suggested Bet: THEREUGO (1) to win. Race 3 BECHERS BROOK (2) has won 12 of his 25 race starts and was a strong winner here two runs back before being beaten as a $1.75 favourite. He has had a short let-up since that effort and looks well placed from this draw tonight. INFINITE SYMBOL (1) has been racing well when not used early but is likely to lead here and will give them something to catch OUR CORELLI (3) has impressed in winning both starts for a new stable and is ready for the rise in class. THE MIDAS TOUCH (12) was flying before a spell but is drawn poorly. Tips: 2 1 3 12 Suggested Bet: BECHERS BROOK (2) to win. Race 4 SAYING GRACE (1) has been well fancied at his five runs this time in but hasn’t managed to break through. He wasn’t far away when 3rd in quick time at his last start and gets his chance tonight but hasn’t always been reliable from the pole draw. BETTER SCOOT (10) is drawn to get the run of the race if his stablemate does things right and should be in the finish. BETTOR REWARD (3) impressed at his first run for a new stable and could be getting back to his best. LIVURA (11) looks a good place chance from his nice trailing draw. Tips: 1 10 3 11 Suggested Bet: SAYING GRACE (1) to win. Race 5 IDEAL LINER (1) has won 10 of his 13 race starts and this is his biggest test this time in. He should win if he holds up at the start but he hasn’t been used off the arm as yet and he has a fast beginner drawn to his outside. GOLDEN STATE (2) led throughout and lowered the colours of Chicago Bull last start and will be hard to beat if he crosses. EL JACKO (9) is a talented sit-sprinter and could be the beneficiary if there is an early war. TOMMY BE GOOD (8) is flying but will need some luck from this draw. Tips: 1 2 9 8 Suggested Bet: IDEAL LINER (1) to win. Race 6 JASPERBELLABEACH (1) won three of his four starts in his first campaign and resumed when a solid 5th in the Prelude from a wide draw. He looks the leader tonight and will be hard to catch. MAJOR MARTINI (11) was impressive in winning the Westbred Classic at his last start and is suited by his nice trailing draw. POWER AND GRACE (10) knocked up late after leading here last week and should be thereabouts from this barrier. SOME COPPER BEACH (4) won the Gold Bracelet in good time last week and must be respected. Tips: 1 11 10 4 Suggested Bet: JASPERBELLABEACH (1) to win. Race 7 VAMPIRO (1) battled bad barriers towards the end of his last campaign but his previous form was first class. He will be hard to beat at his first run back from a break if he can hold up and is forward in condition. SIMBA BROMAC (3) produced his best here last week when a dominant winner from the breeze and looks the main danger. MIGHTY SANTANA (2) is drawn to get a lovely run and shouldn’t be far away. ZENNART (5) can’t be discounted because of his untold ability but is a very unreliable commodity. Tips: 1 3 2 5 Suggested Bet: VAMPIRO (1) to win. Race 8 BLACK JACK ZAC (10) was well driven when sitting on One Off Delight and outsprinting that pacer here last week. He will need some luck from this draw but will be charging late if he sees daylight. ROMAN AVIATOR (4) has been starting off big handicaps in stands and looks a big improver here. CARRERA MACH (5) hasn’t had much luck since a good victory here four starts back and can make his presence felt. BEE SEVENTEEN (1) won at this track three starts back and should be thereabouts from the pole. Tips: 10 4 5 1 Suggested Bet: BLACK JACK ZAC (10) to win. Race 9 ITS ROCK AND ROLL (5) disappointed when beaten as a short-priced favourite at his last start but he is drawn inside his main rivals and is sure to turn this into a staying test. GEE JAY KAY (7) has won two of his last three starts and is now living up to his early promise and looks the main danger. SHOCKWAVE (9) was a good last start winner and right up to this but has a horror draw to overcome. PAPINIK (2) is the new kid on the block but has shown plenty of ability in his two race starts and is well drawn. Tips: 5 7 9 2 Suggested Bet: ITS ROCK AND ROLL (5) to win. Race 10 ZOZO MA GOGO (9) has won three of her six starts this campaign and wasn’t disgraced when 5th in a Pinjarra stand last week. She is drawn wide but doesn’t meet a strong field and should give a sight. TALKERUP (2) was placed in a much stronger field at her last start and will be very hard to catch if she finds the top. SALACIOUS GOSSIP (1) doesn’t appear to be racing at her best but must still be respected from the pole. ROCK N ROLL DELIGHT (3) is racing consistently but has a losing sequence of 17. Tips: 9 2 1 3 Suggested Bet: ZOZO MA GOGO (9) each way. Market Market
