Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on August 21, 2025August 21, 2025 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 NASE VIRA (6) has been unplaced in her two runs since resuming from a spell but she drops in class tonight and should give a great sight. LADY CAMEL (4) had been battling bad barriers before recording an all-the-way victory at her last start and will be prominent throughout. REBLINE (10) will need some luck from her awkward draw but will be charging home if she gets the right breaks. OUR LILILOU (1) has options at the start and won’t be far away. There are numerous other chances so go wide if you are having an early quaddie. Tips: 6 4 10 1 Suggested Bet: NASE VIRA (6) to win. Race 2 ONESMARTFELLA (8) is a 9YO but he is in career best form and will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. BRONZED (5) crossed from barrier nine when an all-the-way winner here two starts back and will give a great sight if he can cross in the early stages. SOUND WAVE (7) couldn’t make ground in a quick last half here last week but his previous form was very consistent and he must be considered. BEACH CAPTAIN (1) can figure from the pole. Tips: 8 5 7 1 Suggested Bet: ONESMARTFELLA (8) each way. Race 3 FRISKY STYX (7) has been unplaced in his three starts this time in and was beaten 68 metres at his last start so it is a speculative selection but he is a classy type who can beat this field if he is at his top. GOODTIME LOUIS (10) drew this barrier and was held up last week and he will be hard to hold out if he can see daylight at the right time. FASTER THAN DAD (9) has been unplaced in his past nine starts but drops in class tonight and can be in the finish at good each way odds. TRAVELBAN (1) has options from the draw and should be thereabouts. Tips: 7 10 9 1 Suggested Bet: FRISKY STYX (7) to win. Race 4 GAITCRASHER (4) started from a wide draw first-up and ran a gallant 3rd in good time. He goes up in class but will be prominent throughout and he should fight out the finish. CABERNEIGH (6) found the 2536m a bridge too far when 3rd at his last start but will be very hard to catch if he can use his gate speed to cross at the start. VEGAS STRIP (9) led throughout from a similar draw at his last start but there looks to be more speed inside him tonight and he may have to be driven in a different fashion. DARK EYES (2) is racing consistently and will be thereabouts if he can cross the polemarker at the start. Tips: 4 6 9 2 Suggested Bet: GAITCRASHER (4) each way. Race 5 MAGNIFICENT STORM (9) has resumed in great fashion and looked very sharp when leading throughout at his last start. He was beaten by MIGHTY RONALDO (8) two starts back from identical draws but he is better suited over this trip and appeals as the one to beat. MIGHTY RONALDO (8) is in career best form and has won three of his last four starts. He is now a lot more versatile and looks the obvious danger. LUSAKA (2) ran a nice 2nd to MAGNIFICENT STORM (9) at his last start and can upset the favoured pair if the breaks go his way. LITTLE DARLING (1) was only narrowly beaten by MIGHTY RONALDO (8) here last week and won’t be far away again. Tips: 9 8 2 1 Suggested Bet: MAGNIFICENT STORM (9) to win. Race 6 CEE DEE THREE (12) hasn’t had a lot of luck but has been placed in three of his last four starts and will be charging home if there is a reasonable tempo up front. COLD HARD CASH (1) resumes tonight and has options from the draw depending on how ready he is to go. TANTABIDDI (4) has good gate speed and will be hard to catch if he can find the front in the early stages without having to do too much work. FLYIN DISCO (5) is versatile and can let things unfold inside him before being put into the race at the right time. Tips: 12 1 4 5 Suggested Bet: CEE DEE THREE (12) each way. Race 7 THENU CAME ALONG (2) caught the eye second up when he charged home to finish 2nd to Gully Gum. He may not have the speed to lead but will settle handy if he can’t find the front and appeals as the one to beat. LOUIE DIOR (6) has put up huge performances at his last two starts and must be considered but he hasn’t been seen for five weeks which is a cause for concern. ARDENS HORIZON (3) has been chasing home the likes of Magnificent Storm and Gee Heza Sport and will appreciate the drop in class. NO NONEY (8) has to be driven cold in this company but he will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. Tips: 2 6 3 8 Suggested Bet: LOUIE DIOR (6) each way. Race 8 SAIFA (11) crosses the Nullabor with good Victorian form and should be hard to beat but he is first-up without a trial so monitor the betting and pre-race interviews. CAMS BOULDER (6) ran a solid 3rd in better company here last week and can overcome an awkward draw. MAJOR JAY (12) faced the breeze and won both a heat and final of the Higgins and should make his presence felt again. CHILLI PUNTER (8) is racing extremely well but will need some luck from out here. Tips: 11 6 12 8 Suggested Bet: SAIFA (11) to win. Race 9 STAR LILLY (1) led throughout at Pinjarra at her last start and she will be the one to beat here if she can hold up at the start without having to work too hard. MINOR CATASTROPHE (5) looked to be bolting when held up here last week and looks a major player in this line-up. SHEZA SASSY LADY (8) ran on from well back to finish just behind the placegetters here last week and should be charging home again. YANKEE LINCOLN (11) should enjoy a soft run just behind the speed and can be dangerous late. Tips: 1 5 8 11 Suggested Bet: STAR LILLY (1) to win. Race 10 Only one horse in this field was placed at their last start, and that was SUN PUBLISHER (5) almost two years ago so we haven’t got a lot of good form to work with. WORLD SECRET (11) has only been placed in one of his last seven starts but he has been racing in stronger company and looks a good each way chance from his trailing draw. MASTER LEIGHTON (6) has a similar recent record but will find this easier than his recent assignments and should be considered. STRAUNYS SISTER (1) finished a close-up 4th after leading from this barrier two starts back and should be thereabouts. EN PARIANT SUR (8) has had plenty of chances but he can control this race from the breeze and still be in the finish. Tips: 11 6 1 8 Suggested Bet: WORLD SECRET (11) each way. Market Market
