Race 1

THE KRAKEN (1) was a good 2nd to Illawong Mustang here two starts back and appeals as the one to beat if he can hold up at the start. MACHLANI (4) has caught the eye with fast-finishing efforts at his past two starts and is capable of winning a race of this nature with the right trip. MARBEECHSAM (9) ran on well to finish 2nd to Insta Gator here at his last start and can figure if there is a strong early tempo. BLUE BLAZER (2) has only been placed in one of his last eight starts but can be in the money from this draw.

Suggested Bet: RUMOUR HAS IT (1) to win.

Race 2

LUCCA (1) found the lead but went too slow out in front when outsprinted by All Is Well here last week. He looks the likely leader again and is clearly the one to beat. PER ARDUA AD ASTRA (2) chased hard when 2nd to Brickies Dream at his last start and is likely to enjoy a similar run tonight. OUR SHELLEY BEACH (6) hasn’t had much luck at his last two starts and can be in the finish. HIGH PRICE (7) ran on to be a well-beaten 2nd in quick time here last week and will be running on again if there is a solid tempo.

Suggested Bet: LUCCA (1) to win.

Race 3

SUGAR APPLE (4) has finished just behind the placegetters in stronger fields since recording a 1.56.6 victory at this track and appeals as the one to beat against this line-up. PELIGROSO (3) led when a narrow 2nd in 1.57.7 two starts back and will give a great sight if he can cross at the start. IFEEL SIKDARL (1) led throughout from this draw three starts back and will give them something to catch if he can hold up at the start. MISTER MONTBLANC (7) was a good 3rd in a stronger field here last week but the wide draw makes it tough.

Suggested Bet: SUGAR APPLE (4) to win.

Race 4

THREE RUMOURS (6) continued her good form when she faced the breeze and was a narrow 2nd to RUMOUR HAS IT (5) here last week and is capable of turning the tables tonight. RUMOUR HAS IT (5) has led throughout to win three of her last four starts and will be hard to catch again if she can find the front. ROCKNROLL SASS (2) is first-up without a trial but must be considered on her two 2nds to the talented Turn The Page before going for a spell. BEYOND THE SEA (3) will strip fitter for her first-up 4th here last week behind the favoured pair.

Suggested Bet: THREE RUMOURS (6) to win.

Race 5

MACHNIFICENT (1) is in top form winning three of his last five starts and is clearly the one to beat from the pole over the sprint trip. GOODFELLAZ (4) ran on well to finish 3rd to Minstrel in a stronger field here last week and appeals as the main danger. CORDERO (2) is better suited over a longer distance but looks a good place chance if he can hold the back of the favourite in the early stages. ELDAYTONA (7) finished hard up on the back of MACHNIFICENT (1) two starts back and can figure if he can find the right spot in the early stages.

Suggested Bet: MACHNIFICENT (1) to win.

Race 6

CHAL PATCH (10) is first-up without a trial but raced in considerably stronger company last time in and will be very hard to beat if anywhere near his best. NAVY STREET (1) races well in stands and can give some cheek from the pole. OTIS (6) had been very disappointing this time in but hasn’t been seen for a month and can improve sharply. AMERICAN BULLITT (9) is a reliable performer who will be running on and can be in the money.

Tips: 10 1 6 9

Suggested Bet: CHAL PATCH (10) to win.

Race 7

WATCHING OUR COIN (3) has resumed with two impressive performances in standing start events including an effortless win here last week and looks the one to beat. THOMSON BAY (1) is racing without luck and will be a sharp improver if he can hold up at the start.  FIREROCKFIREROLL (2) showed great speed to cross at the start when 3rd to Soho Dow Jones here last week and should be thereabouts again. MIDDLEPAGE (4) ran on nicely to fining 4th in the same race and can figure if there is a quick lead time.

Suggested Bet: THOMSON BAY (1) each way.

Race 8

OCTOBER REIGN (2) ran on well to finish 4th to Taking The Miki here last week and will give a great if he can finds the front or if he sits just behind the speed. ARDENS HORIZON (4) is the class runner of the field who was blocked for as run behind Watching Our Coin here last week and should make his presence felt. LAMANDIER (1) led throughout at his last start before a break and was reportedly underdone when a solid 2nd to Taking The Miki here last week and holds the key to the race. RUPERT OF LINCOLN (5) is racing consistently but the speed doesn’t look to suit him tonight.

Tips: 2 4 1 5

Suggested Bet: OCTOBER REIGN (2) each way.
