Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 3, 2022March 3, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 HIGH PRICE (1) was an impressive winner on debut before doing things wrong at his only other start. He won a recent Pinjarra trial in preparation for his return and looks the one to beat from the pole draw. THE MIKI TAKER (7) was held up for a run when 3rd to Swingband in a strong field here last week and is the obvious danger. MISTER MONTBLANC (3) wasn’t far away when. 5th in that event and should be thereabouts. JACKPOT JOE (4) has led throughout to win his last three starts but goes up in class tonight. Tips: 1 7 3 4 Suggested Bet: HIGH PRICE (1) to win. Race 2 WILL I ROCKNROLL (2) has only been placed in one of his four starts this time in but drops in class and looks the one to beat from this draw. ZAZU (3) is racing consistently and should be in the firing line throughout. MIRRAGON (8) has been racing in stronger company and can play a part if there is a solid early tempo. THE TIGER ARMY (1) did lead throughout from this draw in 1.57.7 four starts back and must be considered from the pole. Tips: 2 3 8 1 Suggested Bet: WILL I ROCKNROLL (2) to win. Race 3 HAMPTON BANNER (4) sizzled to the front from a wide draw and won comfortably here last week. That scenario looks likely again and he is clearly the one to beat. VESPA (1) led throughout and defeated HAMPTON BANNER (4) two starts back and may attempt to do the same again. HEEZ OUR PERSEUS (3) defeated Mighty Ronaldo three starts back and will be suited if the favourite doesn’t find the top. MACHS GOLD (2) will be looking for a soft run and can be placed at odds. Tips: 4 1 3 2 Suggested Bet: HAMPTON BANNER (4) to win. Race 4 MIRACLE MOOSE (2) was nosed out in the WA Pacing Cup by Wildwest before disappointing at his last start. He looks the leader here in a race devoid of pressure and he is clearly the one to beat. DIEGO (5) was a strong 1.55.9 winner at his last start but has an awkward draw to overcome. TO FAST TO SERIOUS (4) disappointed at his first start after an injury-enforced layoff and may need a few runs to return to his best. BLETCHLEY PARK (6) can be dangerous if he gets the right cart into the race. Tips: 2 5 4 6 Suggested Bet: MIRACLE MOOSE (2) to win. Race 5 KNOW WHEN TO RUN (1) has two wins and three placings from his last five starts including an all-the-way victory at this track and is clearly the one to beat from the pole draw. ORLANDO BLUE (3) has been a model of consistency and must be considered on his brave 2nd to Franco Ecuador here last week. DOC HOLLIDAY (2) draws nicely and drops in class on his past two assignments and could be the value runner. IMA FIVESTAR GENERAL (7) has impressed in winning four of his five starts this time in but goes up in class. Tips: 1 3 2 7 Suggested Bet: DOC HOLLIDAY (2) each way. Race 6 ANGEL IN WHITE (12) has ran brave 2nds at her last two starts in stronger fields. She isn’t as well drawn tonight but can be put into the race and should give a great sight. PUREST SILK (3) has been racing consistently this time in and is the beast drawn of the main chances. ALTA LOUISA (5) was blocked for a run at her first start back from a spell and can improve sharply here. NEVERMINDTHECHAOS (11) ran on nicely to finish 3rd in a slick last half here on Tuesday and should enjoy a nice trip from her trailing draw. Tips: 12 3 5 11 Suggested Bet: ANGEL IN WHITE (12) each way. Race 7 JUST WING IT (1) attempted to lead throughout from this draw four starts back when 2nd to Major Martini and should lead and be extremely hard to beat here. ALTA RHETT (8) was held up for a run here last week in a stronger field but isn’t as well drawn tonight. DEEORSE (2) is drawn to trail the favourite and looks a good place chance. WHOSWHOINTHEZOO (3) is always dangerous with the right run and will settle close to the lead. Tips: 1 8 2 3 Suggested Bet: JUST WING IT (1) to win. Race 8 FLAMETREE (7) ran on well to finish 6th in a stronger field here last week and looks the one to beat in this line-up. POCKETFUL OF OPALS (3) is well drawn and was an impressive winner last start but will need to improve her times to beat the favourite. HELLO GORGEOUS (1) ran 2nd in a recent Byford trial and must be considered from the pole on debut. SWEET VIVIENNE (6) has been placed in both of her starts and can be in the finish again. Tips: 7 3 1 6 Suggested Bet: FLAMETREE (7) to win. Race 9 PIERRE WHITBY (1) contacted a sulky and broke at his first start back from a spell but looks the one to beat here. He is better known as a sit-sprint conveyance but may elect to hold up against this line-up. BATAVIA ON FIRE (3) isn’t at the top of his game but drops in class for this assignment and looks the obvious danger. BILLY MACK (4) is a bit one-paced but is another who will appreciate this company and can make his presence felt. C C CHEVRON (2) looks a good place chance from her nice draw. Tips: 1 3 4 2 Suggested Bet: PIERRE WHITBY (1) to win. Race 10 ROCK ME OVER (1) has a losing sequence of 27 but has been placed at his last three starts and should give a great sight from the pole. COPY N PACE (8) was a nice 3rd at his last start and has the class to overcome the wide draw but doesn’t win too often. VALBONNE (6) was a strong 2nd from the breeze here last week and a similar performance should see him thereabouts. POCKET THE CASH (3) has been battling bad barriers of late and could be a big improver here. Tips: 1 8 6 3 Suggested Bet: ROCK ME OVER (1) to win. Market Market
