Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on January 13, 2022January 13, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 ORLANDO BLUE (5) has led throughout to win his last four starts. He may not find the top tonight but will still give a great sight. KNOW WHEN TO RUN (10) broke back into the winners’ circle with a comfortable victory last start and is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs. PRADASON (1) led over the staying distance two starts back and finished 2nd to Be My Rock in 1.56.6. He goes up in class tonight but is suited from the pole. STAR OF WILLOUGHBY (8) is racing well and will be charging home if there is a solid early tempo. Tips: 5 10 1 8 Suggested Bet: ORLANDO BLUE (5) to win. Race 2 MEDIEVAL MAN (3) was a strong 3rd from the breeze here last week and will be very hard to beat if he can force his way to the top. ALICE KAY (10) has been placed at her past three starts and looks set to enjoy a soft run on the pegs and can be dangerous. THEREUGO (1) will lead early and has options from the pole and should be thereabouts. JESSE ALLWOOD (11) is a last start winner and should enjoy a nice run just off the pace. Tips: 3 10 1 11 Suggested Bet: ALICE KAY (10) each way. Race 3 ALTA INTRIGUE (2) worked his way to the front when he won three starts back and hasn’t had much luck in his two subsequent starts. He will be prominent throughout from this draw and looks the one to beat. BOOM TIME (3) is capable of unwinding a big finish and should be right in the finish here. GAMBIT (9) has the best form in the race but has a tough draw to overcome. TYLER BRETT (4) has the gate speed to make things interesting early and will give a great sight if he can cross without doing too much work. Tips: 2 3 9 4 Suggested Bet: ALTA INTRIGUE (2) to win. Race 4 CHICAGO BULL (6) hasn’t won a race in twelve months but his recent form is solid and he won’t get a better chance to break back into the winners’ circle. MOTU PREMIER (1) ran a nice 2nd from this draw in similar company three starts back and can play a part. WILDWEST (2) needs things to go his way but can dangerous if he gets the right run from his nice draw. GALACTIC STAR (3) finished strongly when 3rd behind Magnificent Storm here a fortnight ago and is always thereabouts. Tips: 6 1 2 3 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (6) to win. Race 5 IDEAL AGENT (2) was enormous in facing the breeze and defeating RAGAZZO MACH (9) in 1.51.9 here last week and is clearly the one to beat after drawing to lead here. MACHNIFICENT (3) is a dangerous sit-sprinter who should settle close to the lead and will be hitting the line strongly. RAGAZZO MACH (9) has had his colours lowered by IDEAL AGENT (2) at his last two starts and the draw makes it very hard to turn the tables. DOUBLE UP (1) doesn’t have the class of his main rivals but looks a good place chance from the draw. Tips: 2 3 9 1 Suggested Bet: IDEAL AGENT (2) to win. Race 6 MISS MUCHO (5) was an impressive first-up winner in this state before doing things wrong at her only other start. She resumes here without as trial so must be taken on trust but she does look to have plenty of ability. DOUBLE EXPRESSO (8) was an ultra-impressive winner here two starts back before never looking likely at her last start. She will be hard to beat if she brings her A-game but is unreliable. SHEEZ OUR HOPE (7) isn’t racing at her best but is too good to overlook. NEWSY (10) has options from this draw and can be placed. Tips: 5 8 7 10 Suggested Bet: MISS MUCHO (5) to win. Race 7 BEAT CITY (9) won three on end in similar fields before finishing midfield when up kn class. He is better suited here and is clearly the one to beat. HOTFOOT IT (2) won four of his last five starts before a spell and a good recent Pinjarra trial indicated that he is in for a good campaign, GEE SMITH (1) has been placed in seven of his past eight starts and will give a great sight again but normally finds one better than him. TRIROYALE BRIGADE (5) is racing well for his new stable and can make his presence felt. Tips: 9 2 1 5 Suggested Bet: BEAT CITY (9) to win. Race 8 MIRRAGON (10) has only been placed in one of his last five starts is the class runner of the field and will be hard to hold out if he sees daylight at the right time. ALLWOODS ROCKNROLL (2) wasn’t far away when 4th to Arma Einstein in good time here last week and looks a major player from his nice draw. MAESTRO BELLINI (3) was beaten in a photo finish at his last start and will be dangerous with the right trip. QTOWN RIP ROARING (1) has been unplaced at his past 15 starts but can improve from the pole draw. Tips: 10 2 3 1 Suggested Bet: MIRRAGON (10) to win. Race 9 ANGEL IN WHITE (1) has been unplaced in here three starts this time in but was impressive in winning a recent Byford trial and should give a sight from the pole. ROCK ME OVER (2) has a losing sequence of 19 but would get his chance to break back into the winners’ circle if he can find the top. COPY N PACE (9) finished 2nd at six of last seven starts before a spell and has the ability but must be taken on trust first-up. REGAL SCRIBE (7) was a game 2nd here last week and will be thereabouts if he can reproduce that effort. Tips: 1 2 9 7 Suggested Bet: ANGEL IN WHITE (1) each way. Race 10 TAKING THE MIKI (8) was a brave 2nd to BEYOND THE SEA (6) first-up and is capable of turning the tables here. BEYOND THE SEA (6) has gone from strength-to-strength and couldn’t have been more impressive in winning in 1.55.2 at her last start. She isn’t as well drawn tonight but will still give a great sight. WONDERFUL TO FLY (9) has won nine of her 16 career starts and must be respected but is first-up and drawn poorly. SONIC SUZY (1) is first-up after a short break but won a recent trial and should be thereabouts from the pole. Tips: 8 6 9 1 Suggested Bet: ARMA EINSTEIN (8) to win. Market Market
