The Scout: World Cup Matchday 4 Preview, 23 Nov Posted on November 23, 2022November 23, 2022 | Posted by The Scout Group F – Morocco v Croatia Half of Morocco’s squad have fewer than 15 international caps and come up against a strong and experienced Croatian side in their opener. Achraf Hakimi, Hakim Ziyech and Youssef En-Nesyri are three key players whose performances will decide how the Atlas Lions fare. The Croats reached the final in Russia and boast many familiar faces, including the ageless Luka Modric who continues to pull the strings in midfield. It will be a tough ask to repeat that performance, but they are expected to beat Morocco and ultimately progress from the group. Croatia WIN @ $2.12* Group E – Germany v Japan You can never write off the Germans, but the lack of a proven number 9 has raised a few doubts about their overall chances. However, a strong midfield group that includes Ilkay Gundogan, Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka will be tough for any side to match. Jamal Musiala is an excitement machine who at 19 has nailed down a place at Bayern Munich. Japan rely heavily on Takumi Minamino but will fall short in both this game and the clash with Spain. Germany WIN @ $1.40* Group E – Spain v Costa Rica Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas could be one of the busiest men in Qatar given his nation’s horror draw. The last team to qualify for the 2022 World Cup are firm underdogs in a group that includes two recent winners. Spain boast one of the strongest squads and if Alvaro Morata has his shooting boots on, they can challenge for the trophy. Luis Enrique’s side will be confident of a strong start and this game could be a very one-sided affair. Spain WIN @ $1.16* Group F – Belgium v Canada Canada’s first World Cup since 1986 is thanks to a squad boasting some exciting young talent. Alphonso Davies and Jonathan David are the most well-known but watch out for Taj Buchanan who will play on the right side. Belgium’s Golden Generation has failed to deliver a major trophy and this World Cup could be the last chance for some of them. Kevin DeBruyne has been in sensational form for Manchester City and if Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku bring their best then the Red Devils will be a match for anyone. This game could be closer than expected. Belgium WIN @ $1.52* *Odds correct as at 10am, 23rd November 2022. Market Market
