Boston Celtics vs Toronto Raptors (Game 5)

A strong team-wide defensive effort and an improved shooting performance from the backcourt has seen the Raptors overhaul a two game deficit, tying the series 2-2.

The defensive presence (and smarts) of veterans Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka, combined with Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby has been crucial in curtailing the Boston offense that was so dominant early in this series. Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown in particular have been non-factors in Games 3 and 4.

The Raptors look to have shaken off their shooting woes (VanVleet and Lowry combined for nine treys in Game 4) which I think gives them the edge going forward. Their roster is deep with reliable players and I think their momentum carries them to a win here.

Suggested Bet: Toronto 1-10 (Margin) @ $2.70*

LA Clippers vs Denver Nuggets (Game 3)

Nikola Jokic was a BIG problem for the Clippers in Game 2 – going for 28 and 18 while connecting on four of his five attempts from deep.

The Achilles heel of these Clippers was always going to be the centre position. How well Jokic goes scoring in the paint or kicking the ball out to the Nuggets’ shooters will determine how far Denver go in this series.

The emergence of Jamal Murray has also given the Nuggets another scoring threat who can trade blows with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. If he catches fire at any moment, he can effectively end a game.

At the current price I think the Nuggets look a great bet to take out Game 3.

Suggested Bet: Denver (Head to Head) @ $4.40
