The Scout: NBA Best Bets

Milwaukee Bucks vs Miami Heat

Miami have been playing incredibly but Milwaukee (who had the best regular season record) are far too good to get swept (or go down 3-0).

Giannis was a beast in Game 2 with 29 points and 14 boards, but his supporting cast didn’t show up in the manner needed.

With their style of offense, Giannis and the Bucks can only go as far as the outside shooters will take them.

The call at the end of Game 2 was dubious and I think Milwaukee can count themselves unlucky to have lost that one. I’m (again) looking for them to bounce back here.

Suggested Bet: Milwaukee 1-10 (Margin) @ $2.65*

Houston Rockets vs Los Angeles Lakers

Rest is crucial for LeBron James in his 17th NBA season, and he’s had plenty of it leading up to this series.

Size is the Lakers’ big advantage in this matchup with Houston’s tallest starter standing only 6ft 7. Anthony Davis at 6ft 10, and the ability to move on the perimeter, should be looking to make this series as his Playoffs breakout.

The Rockets will continue to bomb three pointers at will, and that always makes them dangerous. Ultimately I think after the gruelling seven games with OKC, and a still-rusty Westbrook, the Lakers get the job done in Game 1.

Suggested Bet: Los Angeles 1-10 (Margin) @ $3*
