Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on September 4, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 DAWN ENIGMA went close two starts ago with Chris Parnham in the saddle when beaten only a nose by New Amsterdam. Last time out again ran well against the pattern when the leaders were getting away with murder in front. Not a lot between these mile maidens and the best ride will likely win it. TRUE ORA was given a really big push by Joseph Azzopardi on the Hour of Power on the Sports Daily on Friday morning and that’s reason enough to include him. SNIPNTUCK the stablemate as no weight at all on her back. PUMPHREYS BRIDGE showed a glimpse on debut. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – DAWN ENIGMA WIN RACE 2 PROMISSION went close first-up no trial in a metro maiden and now returns to the Goldfields. If must pundits are correct on Saturday and Enduring Moment gets the chocolates at Belmont then the form will look super for a Kalgoorlie maiden and you couldn’t ask for more with the barrier and the jock engaged. Looks hard to beat. NATUGHTY THOUGHTIES is getting close and closer and with the claiming apprentice gets in with only 52.5kg. CANT SHAKE YOU trialled on Monday behind a few smart types. Keep safe. DANTORIO ran well at her first outing for Rod Brown. Numbers: 5 – 11 – 12 – 9 Suggested Bet – PROMISSION WIN RACE 3 MANHATTAN MONEY has been a revelation since joining the MR Peter Fernie yard and was ridden like the best horse in the race last time out by Pateman and that’s exactly how it turned out. This mare was nominated for a race in town on Saturday but they elect to stay home and try to win another ratings race with her at the KBRC. HAYAN LAD is a class dropper and is always a big winning chance in this grade. Excellent use of the claim and well weighted considering his recent form. BLOOMS can be hard to run down if she finds the top. SEMIGEL a new comer bringing metro form. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – MANHATTAN MONEY WIN RACE 4 DEVINE BEAST should be able to track up leader’s back and enjoy the run of the race. Her last two wins have been strong and there is no reason why she can’t win again in an evenly graded affair. Should nearly jump eachway the race is that deep. Main dangers are the stablemates and I’m tipping MR Peter to win more than Millsy in the 12pm Chook Raffle at the Tatts Club. VICTORY SHOT was a big win at her first start for the Cambana Lodge team and in theory she’ll only get better and better into the preparation. MOORUMBINE is knocking on the door and wins one soon. PRINCE OF PROMISES will be looking to cross down to the fence and is flying for Rickie Brown. Numbers: 9 – 5 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – DIVINE BEAST EACHWAY RACE 5 TRAMIKA could not have done any more at his most recent. He tramped three deep outside the speed at his first attempt at a mile and was only run down late by Black Comet. Overall race time 2.5L faster than average so he was doing a stack of work throughout. Comes back to 1400, draws a gate and WA’s current #1 hoop jumps on. Justin Thomas has him humming. MAGIC WILL REIGN and BLACK COMET have form around each other and there shouldn’t be much between them in the finish. MR Peter Fernie could have trained the first four winners by race 5 so must respect them. GREAT CHARADE won well last start and should enjoy a near identical run. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – TRAMIKA EACHWAY RACE 6 EXCARO did it tough last start and has come back to racing extremely well since being give a 2 month freshen by Dave Smith to ensure she gets through the entire Traditional Annual Race Round. Fiona Bell has been riding her well but Peter Knuckey could give her that extra length that proves the difference in a cracking edition of the Coolgardie Sprint. Looks really well placed. WOCKNWOLL couldn’t have done any more in the finish last time out. Looked like Indian Chant had her cold at the 100 but she kept fighting. Great to see her back to her best. STRATOCREED was huge two starts ago. Willing to forgive. ANGRY ANNIE has real X-Factor and is the reason Tiarnna Robertson is travelling a team to Kal. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 6 – 11 Suggested Bet – EXCARO WIN RACE 7 WESTERN TEMPLE is a hard one to catch as we found out last start when many a punter were counting their money at 150m before he mis-strode and then peaked on the run in characteristic Western Temple fashion. Going to give him another go at 1760 from the perfect stalking draw. He maps to get the run of the race and the form around Massimo has been super of late. MISSILE LAUNCH has no doubt been targeting this race and finally gets some weight relief. COME PLAY WITH ME is a Group 1 winner. Forget the 62kg he is class. LORDHELPMERUN was huge two starts ago behind Jeraft. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 1 – 9 Suggested Bet – WESTERN TEMPLE WIN RACE 8 RECAPITULATE simply ran them ragged last start. First 1000m 11L faster than average and then last 600m still 1.5L faster than average. He did it at both ends and a repeat performance will see him very hard to run down. Money will come for him so we’ll shop early and then see if Madi Derrick can roll to the top and make them all chase. SLUICE BOX was beaten by the tempo last start (and a good horse in Fair Sonari). Gate means he’ll settle a long way off them but seems to enjoy racing off the back of a hot speed. FINGERMARK was backed strongly late last start and had John Mason doing his best Oh What A Feeling impression. MAJOR MAMBO always a chance in this grade and goes 5L better for Pateman. Numbers: 9 – 1 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – RECAPITULATE WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2,3 1,2,3,4,6,9,11 1,2,4,6,9,10 1,2,3,9 Market Market
