The Scout: FA Cup Final Posted on May 13, 2022May 13, 2022 | Posted by The Scout Liverpool vs Chelsea Only two teams remain in the 2022 FA Cup as Chelsea take on Liverpool at Wembley Stadium, a rematch of the EFL Cup Final which saw Liverpool victorious 11-10 on penalties. Liverpool have not won the FA Cup since 2011/12, while Chelsea are looking for their third in a row! For Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea, this is their last (and only) chance at silverware for the season. Importantly, they will be not be overawed by Liverpool, having held them to draws in both Premier League meetings this season (on top of the EFL Cup epic). Jurgen Klopp and his men are still a slim chance of winning the Premier League this season, and also have a looming Champions League Final against Real Madrid to look forward to. They enter this match off the back of a bitterly disappointing draw with Spurs in the Premier League, but in great form nonetheless, having lost just one match in 2022. We know very well what Liverpool bring to the table, having been a dominant force across all competitions this season. The big question will be what front-line will Klopp favour? Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah will start, with Luis Diaz likely there as well. That leaves Diogo Jota coming off the bench as an x-factor if goals are needed. Chelsea have arguably a more versatile roster than Liverpool; the latter very much set in their (brilliant) ways. With top-line players like Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Romelu Lukaku at Tuchel’s disposal, it is very hard to predict their starting XI, and even harder for Liverpool to fully prepare for. Liverpool have been incredible this season but I’m struggling to look past Chelsea who have the personnel (and the manager in Tuchel) to implement a game plan to worry the Reds. Chelsea have gone toe-to-toe with Liverpool at every opportunity this season, and I think they finally get the better of them here. Suggested Bet: Chelsea to Win the Trophy @ $2.50* *Odds correct as at 6pm, 12th May 2022. Market Market
