The Scout: EURO 2024 Matchday 8 Posted on June 21, 2024June 22, 2024 | Posted by The Scout Slovakia v Ukraine The pressure is somewhat off Slovakia after their famous win over Belgium. They can book a place in the last 16 with a win and won’t make any changes to a winning formula. Ivan Schranz scored the match winner and will continue in the front three alongside Lukas Haraslin and Robert Bozenik. Ukraine were a surprise package on Matchday 1 but for all the wrong reasons. They were completely out of sorts, slumping to a 3-0 defeat against Romania. Vitaliy Mykolenko is set to miss out again through injury, while Ruslan Malinovskyi is an option to start in midfield. More is needed from Artem Dovbyk and Mykhailo Mudryk in the final third. DRAW Poland v Austria Poland are hopeful that star striker Robert Lewandowski will be fit to return following a thigh injury. He was badly missed in the defeat to The Netherlands but may be utilised in a limited capacity. Karol Swiderski returned from his own issue as a substitute in the opener and could be used from the start. Ralf Rangnick’s Austrian side earned a lot of plaudits for their showing in the narrow defeat to France, and they will expect to register at least a point here. He is unlikely to make any changes to the starting eleven, meaning Marko Arnautovic and Patrick Wimmer will again have to settle for the role of impact substitutes. Austria – WIN Netherlands v France Wout Weghorst was the hero as The Netherlands came from behind to beat Poland, however the striker is expected to start from the bench again. Brian Brobbey appears to have recovered from a hamstring problem and is back training with the squad. France didn’t have it all their own way as they overcame Austria. Kylian Mbappe will require surgery for his broken nose and misses this game but will return for the knockout at stage should France progress. Olivier Giroud is the most likely replacement, and the only change Didier Deschamps is expected to make to his team. DRAW Multi Slovakia v Ukraine – Draw Poland v Austria – Under 3.5 goals Netherlands v France – Both teams to score – Yes @ 7.58* *Odds correct as at 9am 21 June 2024 Market Market
