Romania v Netherlands

Surprise package Romania topped their group to qualify for the last 16 and will fear nobody. Ianis Hagi impressed against Slovakia, earning his side a penalty, while captain Nicolae Stanciu remains vital in midfield. Left back Nicusor Bancu is suspended so there will be a change to the backline.

Dutch boss Ronaldo Koeman is set to restore Xavi Simons to the starting lineup. The midfielder was omitted but introduced after just 35 minutes against Austria, replacing Joey Veerman. There are no injury concerns or suspensions to contend with, and Wout Weghorst will have to be content with the role of Super Sub again.

Austria v Turkey

Austria have been brilliant so far, topping a group that included France and The Netherlands. Their high tempo style has been problematic for opponents, and they average two goals scored per game. Winger Patrick Wimmer is suspended and Cristoph Baumgartner is the obvious replacement. Marko Arnautovic is expected to continue up front, with Michael Gregoritsch the option from the bench.

Turkey must do without inspirational captain Hakan Calhanoglu and defender Samet Akaydin who are both suspended. Abdulkerim Bardakci is likely to step in for the latter. Teenage sensations Arda Guler and Kenan Yildiz will look to create in roles behind frontman Baris Alper Yilmaz.
