The Scout: EPL Week 6 Posted on October 23, 2020October 23, 2020 | Posted by The Scout Southampton vs Everton Southampton have turned a corner and are looking like the winning side many had predicted. Undefeated in their last three with two wins and an impressive 3-3 draw with Chelsea, the Saints are back playing confident, attacking football. Everton sit atop the Premier League table, their only blemish a 2-2 draw against Liverpool. The Toffees are looking every bit a top four contender. Southampton’s attacking makeup of Danny Ings and Che Adams is lethal, but still being explored. Everton however have quickly established themselves as a goal scoring powerhouse, with 14 goals in 5 matches. This leap in scoring ability has been thanks to the signing of midfielder James Rodriguez (3 goals, 3 assists) and the drastic improvement of striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin (7 goals). Defensively is where I see the biggest difference here. Southampton play high which can allow attacking opponents to sneak in behind, particular evident in their 5-2 loss against Tottenham. Suggested Bet: Everton (Match Result) @ $2.55* Wolverhampton vs Newcastle Wolverhampton have rattled off back to back 1-0 wins in the Premier League and find themselves 6th on the table Newcastle have been inconsistent through five matches, and their most recent result was seriously worrying. Against Manchester United, Newcastle went into halftime level, but capitulated in the second half, going down 4-1. Wolves have developed a style of play that when executed properly makes them an incredibly hard team to score against. Moving to a 3-5-2 formation and bringing in Max Kilman has transformed their defense and led to their back to back clean sheets. The Wolves defense will be the toughest that Newcastle has faced all season and I think they’ll struggle to find the back of the net. Suggested Bet: Wolves to Win to Nil @ $2.80* Burnley vs Tottenham Could this be the season Burnely get relegated? I think so. They are yet to win a match, their best result being a 0-0 draw with West Brom. One thing you can be sure of when Tottenham play is that they are going to score. Their offensive ability is simply terrific with the pairing of Harry Kane (5 goals, 7 assists) and Heung-Min Son (7 goals, 2 assists). On the counter-attack they are ferocious and this is capped off by the fast-paced Son who has been decimating opponents on the break. Jose Mourinho and the Spurs need to bank a win in this fixture. I think they do that and I think Son feautres among several goals. Suggested Bet: Son Heung-Min Anytime Goalscorer @ $2.35* *Odds correct as at 12pm, 23rd October 2020. Market Market
