The Scout: EPL Week 31 Posted on April 1, 2022April 1, 2022 | Posted by The Scout Southampton vs Leeds Southampton (11th) are in desperate need of a win after three straight losses while Leeds (16th) have put a stop to their losing streak with back-to-back wins. Before the losing streak, Southampton were playing great football staying true to their aggressive game plan. This fixture should suit them perfectly with Leeds boasting the worst defensive record in the league, allowing a whopping 67 goals from 30 matches. Leading the way for the Saints (and always the deepest forward) is striker Che Adams who uses his pace to get behind enemy lines. I expect Southampton to score multiple goals here and Adams to add to his tally of seven for the season (from 23 appearances). Suggested Bet: Che Adams to Score a Goal @ $3* West Ham vs Everton West Ham (7th) will be looking to put a halt to their inconsistent results and bounce back from a 3-1 loss last matchday to Tottenham. Everton (17th) gave themselves some relegation breathing room with a 1-0 win over Newcastle, but remain right in the mix for a bottom three finish. The Hammers were playing great football prior to their loss to Tottenham and remain just only two points behind 6th placed Manchester United. David Moyes’ men will welcome playing at home, where they are undefeated in their last four matches. Everton’s poor form started with a bad run of injury, but has continued due to their poor defensive play and even poorer play on the road. The Toffee’s haven’t won away from home in 11 straight attempts and have formed a bad habit of conceding multiple goals. Suggested Bet: West Ham to Win @ $1.76* Tottenham vs Newcastle Tottenham have stormed their way up to 5th place on the table and would now fancy their chances of moving into the top four by season end. Newcastle (14th) is another side that has changed their fate, winning three of their last five (they’ve lost their last two) and moving themselves out of relegation danger. With 16 goals scored in their last five matches, Spurs are one of the in-form teams in the Premier League. The attacking combination of Harry Kane (12 goals for the season) and Heung-Min Son (13 goals) is flourishing once again, and has been responsible for 11 goals in the last seven Tottenham matches. Although Newcastle have turned things around over the last two months, their most recent form has been questionable. Their two straight losses have come against Everton and Chelsea and I think Spurs’ have both of those teams covered when it comes to potency of attack. Suggested Bet: Tottenham Over 2.5 Goals @ $3* *Odds correct as at 6pm, 31st March 2022. Market Market
