The Scout: EPL Week 23 Posted on January 21, 2022January 22, 2022 | Posted by The Scout Leeds United vs Newcastle United Leeds United (15th) have won back-to-back games in the Premier League including a fantastic 3-2 victory over West Ham United last match. Newcastle United (19th) is looking dangerously certain to relegation as they were unable to beat Watford in a 1-1 standoff. There has been no change to Leeds strategy throughout the course of the season as they continue to play aggressively no matter what. Although this leaves them open to the counter-attack, the goals have been flowing as Leeds have scored three goals in back to back games over West Ham and Burnley. Goal scoring does not come as easy for Newcastle who have only found the back of the net three times in five matches. The Magpies will hope the new signing of striker Chris Wood will change that but they simply do not have enough games with him yet to build chemistry. Leeds will look forward to playing a Newcastle side that is down on confidence and has been leaking goals. I expect Leeds to attack from the opening minutes of the game and press until they inevitably find the goals needed to win. Suggested Bet: Leeds WIN @ $1.98* Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Crystal Palace (11th) have won two of their last four and will be looking to cement themselves in the top half of the Premier League. Liverpool (2nd) will be looking to close the gap between themselves and Manchester City who are now a massive 11 points ahead. Liverpool have hit a rough patch during their last four matches and managed to only find one win, a regulation 3-0 win over Brentford. Although they will continue fighting hard, it could be all for nothing as Manchester City continue to dominate the start of 2022. Unfortunately for Liverpool, Mo Salah will miss this match once again due to international commitments with Egypt. Salah’s absence means Diogo Jota will have to carry the goal scoring burden which is something the Portuguese star will not shy away from. Jota has had a fantastic season for Liverpool so far with an impressive 10 goals to his name to go along with two assists. He is a natural goal scorer and has fantastic ability with both feet, I expect Jota to have plenty of goal scoring opportunities as he leads the way for Liverpool. Suggested Bet: Diogo Jota to Score a Goal @ 230* Arsenal vs Burnley Arsenal (6th) have won four of their last five and can jump to 4th if they can find maximum points against Burnley (20th) who are clearly the worst side in the competition and destined for relegation next season. The Gunners were unlucky not to beat league leaders Manchester City in their last match as they went up 1-0 but were unable to hold on. There were fantastic signs in this match however as Arsenal look to continue their winning formula and to put themselves in a position to play Champions League football next season. One of the shining stars for Arsenal has been youngster Bukayo Saka who has had a brilliant season and has scored 6 goals to go along with five assists. Saka utilizes his pace to get behind enemy lines on counter attacks and has proven to be a deadlier finisher. Against Burnley, I expect Arsenal to control the ball most of the match and will have plenty of shots on goal. Saka has been on an absolute tear as of late and has scored four goals in his last three matches, he is certain to have chances at goal against the league’s worst team. Suggested Bet: Bukayo Saka Score a Goal @ 3.30* *Odds correct as at 2pm, 20th January 2022. Market Market
