The Scout: EPL Week 17 Posted on December 16, 2021December 16, 2021 | Posted by The Scout Chelsea vs Everton Chelsea (3rd) have bounced back from their loss to West Ham with a 3-2 win over Leeds last matchday while Everton (14th) have only managed one win in their last ten Premier League fixtures. It could not be a more terrible time for Everton to come up against Chelsea as they are during a terrible run of form. Injuries are mounting for the Goodison Park club and have been without key striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Yerry Mina, Lucas Digne for quite some time. To add to the misery Everton are now likely to lose Richarlison to a calf injury, Andros Townsend to a foot injury and Seamus Coleman also under a heavy injury cloud. The Toffees are going to travel to London absolutely decimated. In stark contrast Chelsea are coming out of their injury woes with N’golo Kante close to returning as well as former Everton striker Romelu Lukaku. Although Chelsea have had a few struggles on the road, their form at home has been impressive with their only defeat at Stamford Bridge coming from a 1-0 loss to defending champions Manchester City. This will be an extremely one-sided affair as Chelsea will simply beat up on an Everton side that will be missing at least half of their starting XI. Out of 8 matches at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have scored 3 or more goals in 5 occasions and I expect them to dominate Everton. Suggested Bet: Chelsea Over 2.5 Goals @ $2.15 Liverpool vs Newcastle Liverpool (2nd) is riding a five-game win streak in the Premier League while Newcastle (19th) are struggling and have only won one game the entire season. Jurgen Klopp’s team is only four points behind league leaders Manchester City and are closing in fast as they look unstoppable right now. Liverpool have the best attack in the league with 45 goals in 16 goals however they have recently struggled and have been held to 1-0 victories in their last two Premier League wins. Newcastle offers an opportunity for the Reds to rediscover their goal scoring form as the Magpies have conceded a staggering 34 goals in 16 matches. The Reds are heavy favourites in this match and as the best attack in the league comes up against the worst defense in the league we can really expect only one result, Liverpool goals. With Mo Salah leading the league in goals with 14 and his partner in crime Diogo Jota not far behind him with 8 goals to his name, this match will be a blood bath. Suggested Bet: Liverpool Over 3.5 Goals @ $2.37 *Odds correct as at 1pm, 16th December 2021. Market Market
