The Scout: EPL Matchday 16

Manchester City vs Manchester United

The 179th Manchester Derby sees both teams coming off momentum building midweek wins; City 4-1 winners at Burnley and United 2-1 over Tottenham.

The last four Manchester Derbies have seen an average of 3.5 goals per 90 minutes. With the attacking power of both sides here, I think we’re in for much of the same again.

Marcus Rashford for United has four goals and two assists in his last four matches, while Gabriel Jesus is filling the void of the injured Sergio Aguero with two goals midweek.

Manchester City have 43 goals for the season, the most of any team in the Premier League and 20 more than United. This firepower looks to be the separating factor in the clash.

In City’s last five matches both teams have scored and their defense has not looked great. The Citizens are 11 points behind Liverpool, meaning every game from here on is must win.

Suggested Bet: Manchester City Win & Both Teams To Score @ $2.65*

Tottenham vs Burnley

The 8th placed Hotspurs can move as high as 5th with a win here against a Burnley side down on confidence.

Burnley (12th) have lost back to back games; the midweek 4-1 thrashing at the hands on Man City their fourth defeat in six fixtures.

Tottenham have scored seven goals in three games under José Mourinho. Dele Alli in particular looks set to flourish with more creative freedom in attack. He has already scored more goals under Mourinho than he had through the entire season beforehand.

The Spurs are playing a strong attacking brand of football and should have no problem finding the back of the net against a struggling Burnley outfit.

Alli has scored three goals in his last two Premier League matches and is a great chance to continue that run here.

Suggested Bet: Anytime Goalscorer Dele Alli @ $2.50*

Watford vs Crystal Palace

Watford are traveling headfirst towards relegation. Last on the table, they have lost five of their last six games.

Crystal Palace are flying. 7th on the table, they have won their last two games and could find themselves 5th with a win here.

Palace are far from fancy, with their matches low scoring, dour affairs. Amazingly (given their position) they have scored just 14 goals for the season, with two goals or less scored in 10 of their 15 games.

Watford too have struggled to score, boasting a league worst nine goals for the season. Will we see either side (or both) break the shackles here? I suspect not.

Suggested Bet: Under 1.5 (Total Goals) @ $3.20*
