The Scout: EPL Matchday 15 Posted on December 5, 2019December 5, 2019 | Posted by The Scout Liverpool vs Everton The 234th Merseyside Derby takes place at Anfield between two local rivals that could not be further apart. Liverpool are undefeated and eight points clear of 2nd placed Manchester City. Everton however are struggling, sitting 17th on the table. They are a real threat of being relegated and their manager Marco Silva is in danger of losing his job. Anfield has become a fortress for Liverpool, they have won 14 straight Premier League matches at home and will be expected to continue this historic run at the expense of Everton. In each of these 14 victories Liverpool has scored at least two goals or more and with the Reds welcoming back Mo Salah last matchday we can certainly expect plenty of goals. Everton looked to have sealed a crucial away point to Leicester City last matchday however their hearts were broken as they conceded a late goal to lose the game 2-1. Confidence is down in the Toffee’s camp and their away form is poor, they have lost 5 of their last 6 away games in the Premier League. The only knock on Liverpool this season is their lack of clean sheets however they are coming up against an Everton side who has struggled to score goals, only scoring 14 for the season. Liverpool will press Everton from the beginning and will not slow down, I expect Jurgen Klopp’s men to score plenty of goals whilst Everton will create few chances. Suggested Bet: Liverpool -1.5 Sheffield United vs Newcastle United Sheffield United have been a surprise packet this season, sitting 8th on the Premier League table they have proven to be a very hard team to beat. Newcastle are slowly climbing the Premier League table and after a draw against the reigning champions Manchester City, the Magpies find themselves in 14th place. Unfortunately for Newcastle they have struggled on the road and have only managed to claim just six-points away from home. The Blades have been finding ways to score goals even against tough opposition and in their last two home matches they have scored six goals. A shining light for the Blades has been French striker Lys Moussett, who is in great form, scoring goals in back to back Premier League matches. No team has conceded on the road more than Newcastle and the Magpies have conceded two or more goals in 4 of their last 5 away matches. Suggested Bet: Anytime Goalscorer Lys Moussett Arsenal vs Brighton Arsenal’s underwhelming season continues as a draw against last matchday Norwich makes it 6 matches without a win in the Premier League. Brighton are struggling after a tough run of fixtures that saw them lose three straight games to Liverpool, Leicester and Manchester United. The Seagulls at 16th in the Premier League and although they are currently safe from relegation, they must get back to winning matches to remain that way. Arsenal have had no trouble scoring goals, but they have a massive issue with conceding them. In their last three matches Arsenal have conceded 2 goals in each occasion and have failed to keep a clean sheet in six straight matches. Aubameyang is leading the way for the London side, with two goals last match against Norwich. Both teams have scored in 4 of Arsenal’s last 5 Premier League matches and we can expect Brighton to have a chance at finding at least one goal. Suggested Bet: Arsenal WIN & Over 2.5 Goals Market Market
