The Scout: Champions League Quarter-Finals Posted on April 13, 2021April 13, 2021 | Posted by The Scout Chelsea vs Porto Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea squad put on a defensive clinic in the first leg, suffocating Porto, and coming away with a big 2-0 away win. Chelsea has such a strong advantage going into this second leg, all they need to do is play smart and stick to their defensive brand of football. Porto will have to play a more open game and attack from the opening whistle if they are any chance of qualifying. Unfortunately for the Portuguese side, this plays right into the hands of Chelsea who will be ready to counter, and have kept eight clean sheets in their last 10 matches. Suggested Bet: Chelsea (Match Result) @ $1.80* Paris St. Germain vs Bayern Munich PSG travelled to the Allianz Arena and scored an impressive 3-2 away win over the defending champions. Bayern are far from done however, and can consider themselves unlucky after keeping 69% of the possession and winning the shot count 31 to six! Expect this match to be less chaotic, which plays to the strengths of Bayern who love to control possession and dictate the flow of a game. I think the reigning European Champions will relish this challenge on hostile territory. Suggested Bet: Bayern Munich (Match Result) @ $2.20* Borussia Dortmund vs Manchester City Manchester City escaped with a 2-1 win in the first leg thanks to a 90th minute goal from Phil Foden. This second leg should be another exciting affair, with City coming off a shock loss to Leeds in the Premier League. Dortmund’s Norwegian striker Erling Haaland didn’t score in the first leg, which for mine, makes him even more dangerous here at home. Haaland has scored 10 goals in seven Champions League matches and should get his share of chances here. Suggested Bet: Erling Haaland Anytime Goalscorer @ $2.30* Liverpool vs Real Madrid Real Madrid scored a dominant 3-1 win over Liverpool in leg 1, but face a more difficult task here. The Reds have had a horror run with injuries this season, and their home fortress has crumbled, losing six of their last eight at Anfield. Toni Kroos put on a masterclass in the first leg and there is no player at Liverpool fully-equipped to stop him from doing it again. The midfield trio of Kroos, Casemiro and Modric looks far too good and has the ability to (again) tear apart this Liverpool backline. Suggested: Real Madrid (Match Result) @ 3.40* *Odds correct as at 12pm, 13th April 2021. Market Market
