The Scout: A-League Week 21 Posted on April 1, 2022April 2, 2022 | Posted by The Scout Sydney FC vs Western Sydney Wanderers Both teams enter the Sydney Derby in good form; Sydney FC (7th) have three wins, 1 draw and 1 loss in their last five matches while Western Sydney (10th) have two wins, two draws and a loss. This shapes as an exciting match, but it is Sydney FC that comes in looking like the more polished outfit. Sydney have started to find their rhythm in attack, scoring 12 goals in their last five A-League matches. Western Sydney in the same five game span have only managed to score six goals and I think that attacking prowess will prove the difference. Suggested Bet: Sydney FC to Win @ $1.90* Brisbane Roar vs Newcastle Jets Brisbane Roar (11th) continue to struggle and have lost three matches in a row, while the Newcastle Jets (9th) are undefeated in their last three A-League fixtures (two wins and a draw). Brisbane were picked apart by the visiting Wellington Phoenix in their midweek matchup, eventually going down 3-0. Defensively, the Roar have been abysmal, conceding eight goals in their last three matches and 30 for the season (the second most in the league). Newcastle are still within reach of a finals berth, and recent wins over Sydney (2-0) and the Phoenix (4-0) shows how good they are when at their best. Suggested Bet: Newcastle to Win @ $3.15* Macarthur FC vs Perth Glory This match features two teams struggling for form as Macarthur (5th) takes on Perth Glory (12th). Macarthur have just one victory in their last seven matches while Glory haven’t won for taken maximum points once in their last nine attempts. Perth Glory simply cannot win games, with their biggest problems coming in attack. In their last six appearances they have scored just three goals, including three matches without a goal. It’s hard to see Perth Glory finding any effective route to goal, and this shapes as a perfect bounce-back game for Macarthur. Suggested Bet: Macarthur FC to Win @ $1.80* *Odds correct as at 4pm, 1st April 2022. Market Market
