The Scout: A-League Week 19 Posted on March 18, 2022March 19, 2022 | Posted by The Scout Melbourne City vs Melbourne Victory The Melbourne Derby sees Melbourne City (1st) take on Melbourne Victory (5th) in a fixture that always creates excitement and must-watch football. Melbourne City drew 2-2 with top of the table rivals Western United last weekend while Melbourne Victory are undefeated in their last three, getting their season back on track after a run of five matches without a win. Victory also come into this following a midweek fixture in the Asian Champions League. On their day, City can destroy any side in the A-League. Their offensive weapons are second to none and I think the additional rest give them another advantage over Victory. Suggested Bet: Melbourne City WIN @ $1.72* Perth Glory vs Brisbane Roar A bottom of the table clash sees 12th placed Perth Glory take on 11th placed Brisbane Roar. Perth haven’t been able to find maximum points in some time now, coming into this match with six straight fixtures without a victory. Despite their poor run of form, Glory will look at this matchup favorably, especially considering their last victory was a 2-0 win over the Roar. Brisbane have proven they can win matches at home, but they are yet to figure it out on the road, going winless in seven away fixtures. There is no denying Perth Glory have majorly underperformed this season, but I see some relief coming for the home faithful. Suggested Bet: Perth Glory WIN @ $2.43* Sydney FC vs Western United Sydney FC (6th) overcame five straight matches without a win when defeating Perth Glory 2-0 last weekend. Meanwhile, Western United (2nd) are in top form, undefeated in nine straight matches. Western United were unlucky not to beat Melbourne City last weekend, giving up an early 2-0 lead against the league-leaders. John Aloisi’s men are performing close to their peak and use their smothering defense to shut down their opponents, conceding just 14 goals for the season! A win over Sydney FC could see Western United leapfrog Melbourne City and with their current form, the odds on offer look too good to refuse! Suggested Bet: Western United WIN @ $3.95* *Odds correct as at 2pm, 17th March 2022. Market Market
