Scott Embry’s Wednesday Pinjarra Preview Posted on May 14, 2024May 14, 2024 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 HIGHLAND FLAIR drops into a maiden for the first time in his life and looks hard to beat. First-up in a 60+ Grad on a Saturday he finished 1L off Sonoftheboss and then second-up in a C1 he finished second behind El Patron, beating home subsequent winners State Of Fury and Valdarena. Drops 1.5kg back into a maiden and draws a gate. Lots to like. HISTORY WON’T CARE almost pulled off an enormous plunge on debut. The volume of money for him was incredible – massive amounts and sustained. He’s hard to hold out with a run under his belt. INFURIATED ran well on debut 6 weeks ago without luck. THE KING’S UNCLE can lead this. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – HIGHLAND FLAIR WIN RACE 2 WAR MATTERS has only had one start and wasn’t disgraced behind Simply Thinkin’ and Another Strike. He trialled well recently at Lark Hill in a set of winkers and on race day will wear a set of blinkers. He’s drawn well and he’s fallen into a maiden without a lot of depth. Think he can give this a shake fresh. SASSY SKYE worked hard two back and then never looked comfortable at any stage in running last start. Forgive and forget. LYRICAL ANGEL wasn’t a bad trial recently for a 1400m first-up assignment. FINDOUT is going better than numerical form suggests. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 9 – 3 Suggested Bet – WAR MATTERS WIN RACE 3 LINDEN’S GOLD and RED TORI both come through the same race behind Watch Me Rock – a form race which will no doubt be popular with many punters considering they’ve stopped the clock 8L faster than 3 year old 0MWLY average over the 1400m. LINDEN’S GOLD was almost a month between runs and should derive plenty of fitness benefit from the second-up outing. Chanel Cooper takes over riding duties and gets a great opportunity to showcase her talents in the provincial area. RED TORI loomed but couldn’t quite finish off. She gets a gun run from barrier 2 and a tongue tie goes on. DIALLING had bar plates added last start and wasn’t the same horse – they’re still on. I DREAMED A DREAM ran well fresh at Albany. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – LINDEN’S GOLD WIN RACE 4 KISSES FROM KELLY resumed first-up over 1400m in a Westspeed Platinum at Ascot when working forward from a wide gate to breeze. Only faded out late and fought on bravely once headed. Second-up drops back into a C3 and is drawn a gate to get a lovely run close handy to the speed. Should be winning races this campaign. MISS AVA comes back to 1600m on a 7 day spin. She’s returned in great order and the claim keeps her at a winnable weight. STIRKING FELLA has won back to back races this preparation and showed versatility last week at Ascot sitting off them and making a run through. SNIP’S ROCK next best. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – KISSES FROM KELLY WIN RACE 5 WATCH ME ROCK is going to be short regardless of where they take him by the looks. The market has a serious level of attraction to this galloper and he seems to get plunged every time he steps out. Given the speed figures out of his last start win and the fact that many will view this C1 as an easier race he’ll no doubt be very short again. Up 400m and up 3kg – we’ll get to see where he’s at. MORE THAN ENUFF is racing like the rise in distance will suit. BEAU TALK set a ridiculously slow tempo last start and wasn’t able to shake them off on straightening. Citino made the form look good though. KNOCKONEBACK is through the same race. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – WATCH ME ROCK WIN RACE 6 JAZ SESSION ran a sizzling 56.95 up the 1000m straight at Pinjarra two starts back and then was backed off the boards in a C3 when forced to cover plenty of additional ground before fading back into fifth. Lost City came out of that race and won a 3 year old 1000 on Saturday to frank the form and love the fact they’ve been able to find another straight course race for her. LITTLE STRAWBERRY is 1 from 1 down the straight and has raced in higher grade at her last 7 outings. Was only 3L off subsequent winners The Boss Lady and Lexington City fresh. CAPRE OMNIA is drawn to find the outside fence which is a big plus. KRYSANOVA is very hit and miss. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – JAZ SESSION WIN RACE 7 ELBOW LOUNGE is bursting to win a race. First-up he ran into Zangief who has since won a C3, second-up he matched motors with undefeated 3 year old Richanco and last start he was unable to reel in the leader who turned it into a sit and sprint to up the home straight. Drops 4kg, maps well, gains Pike and gets out to 1400m. Keen. THE GREAT ONE was once a m73 rater so it was no surprise to see him run really well fresh at Albany. Keep safe. KELVIN and JAY DEE take care of the speed again and both are in form. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – ELBOW LOUNGE WIN RACE 8 HOBA METEOR might need a touch further than 1200m to produce her best but thought her recent trial was strong behind sharp sprinting type Too Dardy and the Scarpside is a track where they can make ground from the back. With the right track into it she’s dangerous late. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE has his first start in WA after an interrupted preparation. He has been nominated, accepted and scratched on 3 occasions and has now trialled three times. X-Factor runner who is drawn to get every chance. POWERPOP broke her maiden in style and Histry Won’t Care will be popular in the opener. NOVATORIO next best. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – HOBA METEOR EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 3 1,2,3,4,6,8 5 1,2,4,6,8 Market Market
