Scott Embry’s Wednesday Geraldton Preview Posted on November 25, 2025November 25, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 GOD’S GRIN looks hard to beat in the opener. First-up ran second to Rolling Ruler (now a 60+ winner), second-up was upset by Galilea but did cover a stack of additional ground and then third-up was over a month between runs off the back of a minor set back and finished third to highly impressive debutante Sentimental Legend. Off to a Country maiden and should be given every chance from an ideal gate. LATORIO joins Meryl Hayley and the minor placing to Berry Blast and even the fourth at York behind Dominant Force are good enough to make her the danger. CLASSIC TURN showed a splash of ability here and there for Darren McAuliffe and now races 6 weeks between runs for new trainer Gary Delane. WOLFMAN will need luck given how one paced he is. Numbers: 7 – 9 – 12 – 1 Suggested Bet – GOD’S GRIN WIN RACE 2 EXTRA ZERO was a test of patience for both Ike Racing and then Gordon Spowart last campaign. He finished in the money at all three maidens but was beaten at $4.20, $1.70 and $1.75. He has won a barrier trial leading into his return (fighting back after being headed) and provided he gets across without doing too much work in the early stages then he should go close to finally shaking that maiden tag. VIVA MARCONI was the target of betting support at York and it wasn’t that far off. He’s not even 5% of his half sister Clairvoyance but he doesn’t need to be to win a Geraldton maiden. IN SITU was kept really safe on debut as a $3.60 chance and probably did too much work early and raced too greenly to be a winning chance. SUMMER MOOD is a long time maiden but ran quite well fresh. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 10 – 8 Suggested Bet – EXTRA ZERO WIN RACE 3 ONEMORETWOMANY has had three runs in Geraldton. Firs-tup beaten 1.5L Snippy Which in a 70+, second-up burnt early and had nothing late behind Divine Inanna and third-up finished 2.4L off Zing To Win in another 70+. Back in grade, senior rider back on and drawn to get every chance. Think this is the most winnable set up of the prep. CAPRICORN MAN is really awkwardly rated now, m66 or c73 and is out of form. This is a nice race for him on paper and it would be no surprise to see him jump out of his skin and improve sharply if Natika could find the lead. LUCKEE FLORAN ran second first-up, second-up and third-up. Last two runs have been below his usual honest, consistent best. TYCOON DEMON didn’t measure up in Perth. Could be a Geraldton and Jodie Liakousis only commodity. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – ONEMORETWOMANY WIN RACE 4 SOUTHLAND made a real impression on debut in his maiden and then backed it up with a ripping run into third behind emerging Midwest Talent Bolta in a C2. Given a quiet trial leading into his return and if he’s come back bigger and better in 2025 is the type who could work his way quickly through the grades. Only getting warm late in his trial. SEEYOUATTHESESSION has been bouncing between C3 and 0MWLY/Westspeed Platinum grade down in Perth and now finds himself travelling to Geraldton and lobbing into a country C2. Like stablemate Capricorn Man in the previous, nice race for him. QUEEN OF HAWKS was scratched Sunday to save for this and is two from two in Geraldton and has trialled well. FLYING FOREVER ran a really cheeky race at 30-1 last start. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – SOUTHLAND WIN RACE 5 BE MY BELLE was enormous last start? She parked up on speed, got attacked, came around them and was simply too good. She was actually only pulling away again on the line and see no reason why she won’t be winning again given the strength of that victory. Lead if nobody wants to or sit and pull the trigger. CANTILEVER finally broke through at start number 11. He obviously isn’t a huge fan of having his photo taken and again was paddling last 50m when Truly Supreme loomed to his outside but he’s got some level of ability. ROCK DEE JAY doesn’t win – 1/49 but he’s always around the mark and loves running a ticky. YALLINGUP GIRL is more of a 1600m horse than the 1200m races that she’s been in first-up and second-up in the region. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 10 – 6 Suggested Bet – BE MY BELLE WIN RACE 6 DIVINE INANNA won back to back races at Geraldton, a 58+ 1400 and the Ladies Sprint before heading into a 70+ when placed to Thehorseman and a 0MWLY at Ascot when beaten 4.3L by Sir Dreamalot. Back to Geraldton and hopefully back to her best. Loves the track and Laqdar is Gero brilliantly. DEAMBER is one of the most notable class droppers of recent times, going from a Listed Fillies & Mares race into a c69+. Add in the 2kg claim for Holly Nottle and she’s very much a live chance. CAVALLO RED is a consistent type and all three of the Sean & Jake Casey runners at the meeting must be respected. GOLD KEEPER was a big improver second-up behind a Perth bound Bolta. Numbers: 7 – 3 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – DIVINE INANNA WIN RACE 7 SNIPPETY LEGEND made a very encouraging WA debut winning a C2 1400. Second-up he rises in grade into an open and even 58+ with a number of winning chances and a race that should nearly be eachway the field. Losing Troy Turner isn’t ideal but Austin Galati is fresh off a metro double and has been riding winners galore recently. BATTLE ON BATTLER has really toughened up this campaign and is very much living up to his name. He’s just a battler but he’s in form, he’s gritty and he can be ridden ugly. Love the way he held on late under the 60kg last start and see no reason why he can’t run a race in a 58+ now. MASTER ALEX got a mile out of his ground and probably doesn’t stay, so forgive and forget last start. STRAPPING PROPHET is racing 4 – 5 lengths below what he was producing as a 3yo. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – SNIPPETY LEGEND EACHWAY Market Market
