Scott Embry’s Wednesday Bunbury Preview Posted on November 21, 2023November 21, 2023 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 RISSOLES makes her debut off the back of an impressive trial when third behind Rommel’s Goddess. Was ridden very quiet early in the trial and made noticeable late ground under little riding. Luke Fernie has his team going well and if she can step with them, she looks like she’s got a motor. SCORPION RULER had to take off from the 800 on a four and five deep move to win on debut. Then took on the older horses in a C3 on Melbourne Cup Day and looked a bit lost in front. Better suited with a sit. OCEAN OUTLAW comes through a visually impressive trial win, however, it was far and away the slowest trial on the day. ZING TO WIN dominated them on Melbourne Cup Day at Bunbury leading and winning. Numbers: 7 – 4 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – RISSOLES WIN RACE 2 MORE THEN ENUFF did enuff on debut to suggest that with race experience he’ll take running down at this second career outings. Worked forward to the breeze and was no match for Zing To Win late but at the same time he never gave it away in the home straight. Looks likely to breeze outside of roughie Run Rupi Run and from there he’s a big chance for a highly inform combination (Red Tori, Great Demon, Holy Enchantment & Black Spirit all within a 96 hour window). WATTELSE trialled behind Siberian Siren and Alaskan in blinkers and then didn’t have them on in the recent trial win when working through her gears nicely late. Soft map on debut. THE HILL TRIBE has ability but may want further. DE LA BEAUTE has had a lot of opportunity. Numbers: 5 – 8 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – MORE THAN ENUFF WIN RACE 3 ROCKET JUICE put the writing on the wall last week behind Regal Statue. He was trapped three deep the trip outside the leaders in a race where they went 4.5L faster than maiden average and to his credit he actually came again at Regal Statue over the concluding stages. Backs up off 7 days and with an ounce of luck early finds a commanding spot. TRANSCRIBE looks the obvious danger. Drops 3kg from a 3yo 0MWLY into a maiden and is drawn to get a great run midfield. Liked his last 100m on debut. LUNCH IN PARIS looked handy at trials. BEAU TALK wasn’t bad last start. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 14 – 2 Suggested Bet – ROCKET JUICE WIN RACE 4 BONNIE LAD will need to stay in touch in the early and middle stages because this race looks to have a crazy amount of speed (Smokey Mountain, Mir, Bayezid, Bisector, Snippenova). If he can stay in touch and stay out of trouble then he’ll be hard to hold out on current form. Going super and the last time he was in this grade he beat subsequent winners Deetea and City Angel by 1.5L. STORMCHASER is a bit of an X-Factor in the race. Lightly raced 3 year old who looks to have some upside. CATCH THE RED EYE bolted in at Northam in a high pressure race. Might just suit him. BAYEZID is drawn outside a few fellow speedsters but he sizzled turf last start going 6L faster than average. Expect support on times alone. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – BONNIE LAD WIN RACE 5 ARCHER COUNTY looks like he can lead and control this evenly graded C1. His only win in WA was off a 7 day back-up and Jarrad Noske jumps back aboard. Last week at Ascot he gave cheek in front before being swamped over the last 150m. Should be peaking third up from a spell and goes around eachway. PLAY WITH DESIRE was a different horse last Thursday with blinkers on. Skipped right away for an emphatic win. BEATS OF WAR has had no luck at all in every run this preparation. 3x forgives. MARINSKY BALLET got to the line well on Melbourne Cup Day behind Ecstasy of Gold. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – ARCHER COUNTY EACHWAY RACE 6 BECALOTTI looks really well placed again. Only three starts ago she has finished half a length off now Listed Filles & Mares winner Amber Glide and last start when dropping into a C3 she was drawn barrier 10 of 11 and covered a stack of additional ground before holding on to finish third. Should either cross or breeze outside of Hesket and from there she’s the one to run down. ACE COMMAND has been enormous in Saturday grade most of his preparation. Many WA punting tragics have been waiting for him to drop back to the midweeks and the time is now. FAST FLICKER has shades back on and is racing like she wants 1400. HESKET is trying hard. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – BECALOTTI WIN RACE 7 HEZANGELIC had a set of shades go on at trials and looked the goods before taking that to the races on debut and eventually grinding his way past a determined Magic Belle. Not easy to go from a maiden straight into a C1 but as a 3 year old he only rises 1kg rather than the customary two. AFTER PARTY should enjoy a lovely run leader’s back from barrier 1. Went extremely close last start behind Albiton and really seems to find once the Pontiff gets busy. KING’S PARADE won well at his return but is drawn really awkwardly here. GO GO GROMMET looks like he can lead them here which is a big help. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – HEZANGELIC WIN RACE 8 REACTION is in career best form as a 9 year old. He lead and won a C3 1100 at Northam and then sat three deep the trip without cover in a Saturday 60+ Graduation and somehow finished within 2.5L of Playthatfunkymusic. Drawn to lead or box seat on Dream Evil and from there enjoys a great run at near double figures. STORMY TAWNY was extremely impressive last start when the blinkers went on. It’s becoming a bit of a theme with Grant & Alana Williams’ new horses, shades on = win (Wango Award, Yonga Lass, Stormy Tawny…) The way they’re riding her she’ll need them to be able to make ground. DREAM EVIL has returned in excellent order. EEVALINA is racing well from awkward gates. Numbers: 9 – 6 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – REACTION EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2,3,4,9 1,3,4,8 1,2,6,7,9,10 4,6,9 Market Market
