Scott Embry’s Tuesday Bunbury Preview Posted on November 2, 2020November 2, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 OUR DAMOUR looks primed third up into the campaign and stepping out to a staying trip. Clearly no star but these opponents all have convictions and she is relatively lightly raced and probably coming out of the strongest form references. From the draw Ryan Hill can have her within striking distance and can hold a spot in running. MISS MARANTA has been a regular in this preview and continues to find one better each and every outing. Murphy’s Law says she’ll win this now that we’ve lost patience. REDMILL is honest and consistent and rolls to the top. RUNS LIKE FIRE is going well. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – OUR DAMOUR WIN RACE 2 SHE’S GOD TO YOU could well come up as short as $1.25 considering her overall form. Ryan Hill wouldn’t have ridden one this short since a Paul Jordan 400m jump out. Darren Taylor looks to have himself a good filly and her form behind Snickerdoodledandy, First Law, Kissonallforcheeks and Sassy Trader is far and away better than anything in this line-up. FEAR THE WIND didn’t fire on debut but this is far more suitable. Liked the way he looked at trials. JUSTHANDY is better than her first two this preparation suggest. KEEPER SWEET going well and draws a nice gate. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – SHE’S GOD TO YOU WIN RACE 3 PEACE PRIZE loomed as the winner first-up and just peaked on the run in the last 50m. From the draw does no work in running and Jason Brown looks to have a good book. Ran well fresh behind Ian’s Special and Billy Ray before an even better second-up run. Can expect further improvement and that makes him the one to beat. THERSYOURTROUBLE drops into maiden company and drops 2.5kg with the claim of Angela Johnston. Well placed by an astute betting yard. DARK LASS has trialled well enough to figure in the finish but might need further. MIGHTINESS is doing a lot wrong. Needs to jump to give himself a chance. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 10 – 6 Suggested Bet – PEACE PRIZE WIN RACE 4 LONEHAND LARRY made his debut in a Saturday metro maiden which rated through the roof with Beau Zoom going 5.5L faster than average. Expecting At War to be hard to beat at Ascot and that makes the form of Lonehand Larry very strong. His trials were impressive and with even luck he looks hard to beat. MELWOOD COAST gets the senior rider and that’s important because he can be very wayward in the straight. SICHERN looks a capable type who should be running a reasonable race on debut from the soft draw. RED HOT DUBAI was plunged last week. Keep safe. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – LONEHAND LARRY WIN RACE 5 ZAC LUVS TO FLY looks hard to beat on the fresh side. Has only had 3 starts and boasts placings behind Congreve Rocket and How’s The Serenity. With an even get away can get across from the wide gate and looks a big chance of giving local trainer Chris Stelmach her first winner of the Bunbury season. PAEROA LAD is a big pick up ride for stable apprentice Austin ‘Spud’ Galati. If he finds the fence he’s clearly a big danger. Comes from the Beau Zoom/At War race which is looking like strong form. GOT YA wasn’t a bad trial and can hold a position. ARRACITY ran well on debut but needs luck. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 11 – 7 Suggested Bet – ZAC LUVS TO FLY WIN RACE 6 SECRET PEARL looks to have found her race. Has been really knocking on the door at her last few outings and Ricky Moss has her firing. Blinkers on, Jason Brown on and from the wide draw looks capable of getting across to the breeze and sitting outside Burn One Down. Ready to win. XAN BIO put in a shocker last start. Her previous win was electric when gunning down talented stayer Without Reason. BURN ONE DOWN is as honest and consistent as they come. UPWARD OTHERS eye catching last start. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – SECRET PEARL WIN RACE 7 BOLLINGER BOY was scratched from Saturday to be saved for this. Drops back in trip and has always been a bit of a query on whether or not he genuinely stays. Rock hard fit and likely to be put into the race by Peter Hall. If he gives him anywhere near as good a ride as he gave Come Right Back then he’ll be in the finish. PETTICOAT JUNCITON returns to the races fresh and can definitely sprint well. Talented enough staying mare. LYLES CHOICE is going well but the draw hurts. VELAGO is the proverbial box of chocolates. He’ll win one eventually. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – BOLLINGER BOY WIN RACE 8 AIRLIE QUEEN was far from disgraced last start behind talented types like Emm Tee Aye, Empire Reign, Dad’s Bigheaded and Kallaroo. That 3-year-old midweek form is stronger than most C1 form and she gets weight relief after the claim for an in-form apprentice. HOME IN FIVE was a tough watch last start when held up for the entire length of the home straight. Fresh win was sensational. JAKESTAR took a while to break his maiden but is speedy and worth respect if the track is playing on-speed. MISS CIRCLEWORK put on a clinic at Collie. Numbers: 11 – 3 – 5 – 10 Suggested Bet – AIRLIE QUEEN WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,4 2,3,4,5 2,3,5,6 3,5,11,10 Market Market
