Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on December 31, 2024December 31, 2024 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 ALOT OF ROSES and GOD SHE’S SASSY come through a 1000m maiden behind Shmoov Moova and if he were to win the opening race on the Perth Cup Day meeting then that form will stand out even further. Thinking that ALOT OF ROSES can come out running and try to get across towards the outside fence. GOD SHE’S SASSY hasn’t yet lived up to the hype 2 year old trial. WOTUGOT was okay down the straight two back and held up the entire last start. Joey on her over God She’s Sassy is interesting? PRINCE OF PARADOX improved tenfold in the recent trial, tongue tie maybe? Numbers: 9 – 12 – 11 – 5 Suggested Bet – ALOT OF ROSES WIN RACE 2 PRECIOUS GOD has a stack of ability and if Pinjarra plays like it has done the last few meetings then she’ll get her chance to sit back, wind up and zap these. She was enormous in the $50,000 Own The Dream Maiden on Westspeed Day in a race that was completely dominated from on speed. Has a future. CHINESE DENTIST trialled well on 4 occasions and was hammered in betting on debut. Big watch. ROCK’N’THE JAM was a really good recent trial in sharp time and was doing his best late and through the line. SOLDIER OF GOD couldn’t find a position fresh and ran quite well all things considered. Numbers: 8 – 4 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – PRECIOUS GOD WIN RACE 3 KAMAKAZI SHOOTER has been knocking on the door all preparation and it looks just about ready to open. Second to Ain’tsobad (since won a C1), second to I’m Crafty (since C1 placed) and most recently third behind Funchal and subsequent winner Noble Connection. Not a deep maiden and really looks to get his chance. GOLD RUBY caught the eye in both runs last campaign and Graeme Ballantyne produces her first-up, no trial. Keep safe. RULESQUE comes through the Shmoov Moova race which is expected to hold up as a form reference. SAFARI BOY had genuine excuses last start. Numbers: 1 – 9 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – KAMAKAZI SHOOTER WIN RACE 4 DASHING ERIKA ran fourth on debut behind Funchal, subsequent maiden winner Nobel Connection and we’ll see that form on show again in Race 3 through Kamakazi Shooter. Should only improve for the run and looks hard to hold out here. OPAL TANGO got going late last start and Who Saz Yes has won from that race already. METALIC MARLIN has had gear swapped at his last three consecutive runs. He’s racing well and should pinch one soon. BUZZ THE TOWER looks to have a bit of X-Factor about him. Numbers: 10 – 12 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – DASHING ERIKA WIN RACE 5 NATIVE FLOWER was well supported at odds last start and was huge in defeat. Trapped three deep the trip she still had the audacity to loom the winner before Ishkur got her late. Drawn to get every chance. HISTORY WON’T CARE has been searching for another race since the first-up run. Expect they’ll nom him for races Saturday at Ascot too trying to find the right set up. CHEEKY CHARLOTTE drops back into a C1 and finds a race where she can nearly cross them. Looks a big improver. DE GRANDHOMME was extending the margin late last start. Numbers: 10 – 1 – 8 – 5 Suggested Bet – NATIVE FLOWER WIN RACE 6 AIN’T SO BAD was scratched from Saturday to save for this. She’s working her way through the grades impressively and with the third place getter in At Your Service coming out to run second to Sunshine Tafe the form is looking better and better. Can let Five Down go or park outside of him. Either way, she’s hard to beat. HE’S ARCHIE comes back in distance, maps to get a kinder run and Alex Hearn sticks. Going super. ELBOW LOUNGE isn’t easy to catch but this is his kind of race. PLAYZ WITH FIRE is a notable class dropper. Numbers: 8 – 10 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – AIN’T SO BAD WIN RACE 7 ATLANTIS BEACH won the Grandstand Cup here first-up and then went to town into a 66+ in town, a race which was run 10L slower than average and didn’t suit horses like him who require a genuine speed to track up behind. Should get things more to his liking here. IMPERIALIZE drops out of a 66+ behind progressive mare Profit Pocket and is ready to win. HARBIN put in a dive in the Grandstand Cup and is another who can be forgiven from that messy race at Ascot. EXPELLIARMUS ran a ripper fresh. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 9 Suggested Bet – ATLANTIS BEACH WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 3,4,5,6,10,12,13 1,2,5,7,8,10 8 1,3,6 Market Market
