Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on August 20, 2024August 20, 2024 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 TIVACISAURUS has finished second at his last three outings. He had his first attempt at a staying trip last start and was the strongest finisher of the beaten brigade. He gets out to a full 2300m here, he only has 6 rivals and he looks like he’ll go around short (again). Today the day? BROWN MORN was produced first-up at 2200m in the same race which shows just how one paced he is. Logical danger. ILGIRO DELMONDO has shown glimpses from time to time and has a set of shades on as well as Shaun O’Donnell. RAKIYA gets a soft run along the inside. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – TIVACISAURUS WIN RACE 2 GREAT EMOTION looked good at trials and then finished off powerfully on debut behind This’ll Show Ya (in Race 1 on Wednesday at Belmont) and ahead of Allentown (in Race 2 on Wednesday at Belmont). Expecting that form will look good come Thursday morning and think she can go one better. CHEST OUT SWAGGER and SNIPPY SEAN both made their debuts together behind Gold Flakes, Rainline (subsequent Saturday winner) and Siren Assault (subsequent Gimcrack Stakes winner) before backing up off 7 days into the Sires. Keep both very safe. AH KUM trialled well enough for his return to racing. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – GREAT EMOTION WIN RACE 3 PHAROAH SHOW ran third on debut behind Bondi Bay (since won a Saturday) and stablemate Arcadia Park (luckless in the Bondi Bay race on Saturday) and finishing ahead of subsequent Pinjarra quinella Our Existence and Mean Machine. That’s clearly the form reference and from barrier 1 gets every chance. MISS WALL STREET trialled well recently at Belmont and her form through last preparation was consistent and strong. LYN’S DAKOTA ran well fresh and should only improve for the run. BUSTERS GIRL is well placed and with only 53.5kg on her back must be respected. Numbers: 11 – 6 – 10 – 14 Suggested Bet – PHAROAH SHOW WIN RACE 4 SO NATAYA lay inwards up the home straight first-up at Pinjarra on a day where you simply had to find the outside fence. Chris Parnham made a clear effort to get her to the ‘good ground’ but she didn’t want a bar of it and laying back towards the flat cost her at least second, possibly victory. FRAPPUCCINO is the full brother to Marocchino and on debut over 1000m finished off brilliantly behind multiple Saturday winner Tycoon Harry. Has raw ability but like his older brother might take some time to figure it all out. MANHATTAN JEWEL trialled well and ran a string of second placings to start her preparation when last in work. SAFEKEEPER next best. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – SO NATAYA WIN RACE 5 HEZA GRUNT was popular in betting on debut and ended up in a really tricky spot in running along the fence on a day where the winners were getting towards the outside. Happy to follow the Drinks On Me, On The Mark, All Vital form and thinking he’ll continue to improve into his career. IMA ROCKGOD was good last start behind Trio who goes around near favourite in a handy C1 line-up on Wednesday at Belmont. FLYING CHOUX finally put in a run similar to his trials last start. COULDAHAVEBEEN was luckless fresh and a bit flat last week. Numbers: 10 – 6 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – HEZA GRUNT WIN RACE 6 PIN DEEP had three runs last preparation – all down the 1000m staright culminating in an effortless 2.4L win over subsequent (multiple) Saturday winner Crippalenko. Was allowed to run in his recent trial by ZJP and expect he’s on a mission to find the outside fence here. Could be a case of high speed horse, high speed race. DREAMERS NEVER DIE was eye-catching first-up in a Saturday 60+ Graduation and then didn’t handle the Soft7 last start? NEW EXPRESSION is in his first preparation of racing and has been a model of consistency. AROOCHACHA is a straight 1000 winner previously. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – PIN DEEP WIN RACE 7 MADE IN MEXICO stepped out of 3 year old 0MWLY company into a 66+ last start and was backed as if unbeatable. He now returns to a C5, he returns to the Pinjarra Straight and no doubt CJP will be coming out fast looking for that outside fence. INFLUENCING won four on the bounce to start last preparation and went from a maiden to a Saturday 3 year old winner and a m57 to a m72 in the space of a month. Trialled super. SCORPION RULER was scratched on Saturday to save for this and won well last start. MAGNUM CLASS can hold a spot. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 9 – 7 Suggested Bet – MADE IN MEXICO WIN RACE 8 MAJOR MARIO looks to have found a lovely race here. Fresh over 1000m he finished off well late once the race was over, second-up he finished less than 1.5L off Russian Sniper in a Westspeed Platinum and now third-up he gets out to his pet distance, drops back into a C3 and maps well. Looks the right race for him. VILLAGE GIRL continues to draw bad gates, endure tough runs and still finish close to the winner. Deserves one. JUST ADORABELLE is the kind of mare who needs conditions to suit. If it’s get back and run on she’s in the mix, if it’s leader’s she’s none. HE’S ARCHIE is as honest as they come. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet – MAJOR MARIO WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 4,5,6,10,12 1,3,5,8,9 1,4 2,3 Market Market
