Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on July 30, 2024July 30, 2024 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 BONDI BAY was stiff not to win first-up. Take nothing away from the winner who was three deep the trip without any cover, but BONDI BAY looked to be travelling in behind them without much room to move before flashing late once clear. Can make amends here. ARCADIA PARK and PHAROAH SHOW are the first new season 3 year olds from Peters Investments to hit the track. Brad Parnham trialled both and there looked very little between them ability wise to the eye. PHAROAH SHOW trialled alongside Glasgow Lass so that should be the better of the two trials form wise. MEAN MACHINE ran well first-up. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – BONDI BAY WIN RACE 2 TIVACISAURUS is a sizeable unit who will get out over ground in time by the looks. Parked three deep the trip last start when unable to reel in impressive winner Vancouver Storm and if that galloper was to run well in Race 8 on Wednesday it would make the form look good for this mile maiden. BOLD HERO got a long way back on debut but found the line late. Looks like he will appreciate an extra 300m. LE GRAND JEU was scratched on 17 July and now comes into this a month between runs. Pike’s booking catches the attention. JATS can roll to the top and give cheek. Numbers: 6 – 9 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – TIVACISAURUS WIN RACE 3 RELIABLE IMAGE loomed the winner last start but couldn’t quite finish off on the Heavy8 and wobbled around under pressure when asked for an effort. She’s getting better and better with racing, now gets Pike and looks the kind of mare who will always tend to get back regardless of where she’s drawn. ARGYLE STAR has finished second at three from give this preparation under claiming apprentices. Now gets a senior on. Going well. SUGARED UP is sustaining big long runs and going very well. LEAD BY EXAMPLE never got into the race last week. Numbers: 9 – 5 – 10 – 6 Suggested Bet – RELIABLE IMAGE WIN RACE 4 SO NATAYA was luckless on debut behind Millstee and subsequent winner Champeze when held up at crucial stages before flashing home late. At her second outing she sat wide throughout and went down fighting into third behind Stylish Lord, Champeze and beat home Deferred. Went around a $7.50 chance in the Ascot 1000 Guineas at the end of her campaign. She’s got ability. CAPABLE ANGEL comes through two ridiculously fast run races. Her speed figures will see her popular with many punters. COUNTESS OF KENNA has put in two good runs since resuming. COUSIN MORTIMER’s last two have been outstanding at odds. Numbers: 10 – 7 – 9 – 2 Suggested Bet – SO NATAYA WIN RACE 5 GALILEA trialled really well at Lark Hill and then went to a 12008m race first-up which never profiled like a winnable assignment for her. She was drawn barrier 13/13, the race contained impressive type Play The Bluff and she was always going to settle in an impossible position in running. All things considered she did a super job to finish third and now gets both 1400m and Bradley Parnham in her favour. FOXY RASCAL ran a ripper first-up and then possibly looked to be spinning the wheels on the Heavy8 after racing keenly second-up. ANTIQUE STAR got going late behind Delicate Ruler and attacked the line. SHOOT TO FAME gets weight on them as a 3 year old filly. Numbers: 8 – 2 – 9 – 12 Suggested Bet – GALILEA WIN RACE 6 VERGREY is flying. Since breaking his maiden he’s finished second to Sensessional (2x Saturday winner since), sat deep in a 3 year old 1400 and then sat deep in a C1 1400 behind Just Adorabelle and Arcadia Knight in a race where they’ve run the first 800m 7L quicker than average. He’s doing all the work and somehow he’s still there late. If he can get across to the breeze here it’s game on. KINGS CALL will be breaking through in the near future. He’s racing consistently well for his new stable. QUEENSLAND DIESEL has put it all together. Big maiden win. BLAZING EMERALD ran home okay fresh. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – VERGREY WIN RACE 7 INSYDE SUCCESS is better than a C3 provincial horse. This race has serious depth with legitimate dangers Just Famous, Dirty Chai, Ciao Bloomy, Estimator, Desert Nymph and Co but realistically if Shaun McGruddy can get him out and rolling he’s got the ability to be bouncing back from a below par return to racing. JUST FAMOUS broke his maiden in style but this is a decent step up in grade. DESERT NYMPH has a big L600 on her and has returned well. DIRTY CHAI sits close handy to the speed and is back to her best. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – INSYDE SUCCESS WIN RACE 8 SPECIAL SORT is getting closer and closer to another win. He’s a model of consistency and has been building into the campaign. Ran second to subsequent winner Ginger Green most recently and drops 1kg off that effort. Ready to win and drawn to get the right run close handy to a moderate tempo. TIGER LINE was a big improver first-up to second-up and with both Little Silver and King’s Salute winning last Saturday at Belmont Park the form looks outstanding. DASH OF BRANDY is fit and can be put into the race coming back in distance. OUR NORMAN was a much better run than it looks first-up. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – SPECIAL SORT WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,8,9 1,2,3 3,4,5 1,8 Market Market
