Oli Cownie’s Tuesday Bunbury Preview Posted on July 30, 2024July 30, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch Race 1 XPRESS PARTY (5) was faced by an awkward draw on debut. He was ultra impressive there coming wide as the speed went on and just going down late in a driving finish to Belly Up who had the run of the race. COMO EL VIENTO (7) worked to the front last start and was just beaten by Captains Creek after a very slick last half. Appears a horse with good ability. CONTROL THE ROOM (4) has been placed in all of his three career starts. Has ability. FILLMYPOCKET (6) appeared to have the right run throughout last start and battled into third. Tips: 5 4 7 6 Suggested Bet: XPRESS PARTY (5) to win. Race 2 LUCI KANE (5) is a horse that generally shows good gate speed. Her manners have at times let her down over racing badly which has been her undoing in the better races. CONTROL QUEEN (9) was just worn down late but Hot Rockefeller last start. Appears to be racing well and this doesn’t look out of her reach. MANEA (6) was running on well last start into third. FUNKY MUSIC (10) hasn’t been beaten too far in recent efforts. Could secure a soft run. Tips: 5 9 6 10 Suggested Bet: LUCI KANE (5) to win. Race 3 MAKE IT QUICK (12) impressed last start when running on from last into second. May need to do similar here. SWEET SASSYMOLASSY (9) lead last start and battled on for second. This looks a similar type of race and she can figure again. ELIENMAY (1) has mixed her form. Has put in a few efforts which would see her hard to beat in this race on the rails. LIGHTFOOT LEIGH (7) didn’t get out until late in the race last time out after cutting to the inside. He draws awkwardly here but can figure. Tips: 12 9 1 7 Suggested Bet: ELIENMAY (1) to place. Race 4 PATH OF GOLD (3) dashed off the two back and nearly crossed from the outside. Battled into a good third there. If he was able to find the front in this race he’d take some catching. YANKIE KEV (9) was forced to do the work last time out and tired late. Can see him bouncing back in this race with a softer trip. THEYCALL ME STOOGE (1) is a horse that appears well graded in this race. Very capable and draws a good gate. ADORE ME SOME MORE (10) loomed into it strongly last start but was only able to manage second there. The draw makes it tough. Tips: 3 9 1 10 Suggested Bet: PATH OF GOLD (3) each way. Race 5 ZARA TINDALL (4) returns from a spell. She has gate speed and may look to press onto the front in this. COPY CAT QUEEN (8) is faced by a potentially awkward draw. She quickly rounded them up last start to score an impressive win in fast time over the mile. MAKE YOUR MARK (7) raced outside the leader last time out in a quickly run mile. She may need to do the work again and races well from the breeze. SECRET REACTION (9) ran on powerfully late at Gloucester park to score an impressive win. Tips: 4 8 7 9 Suggested Bet: COPY CAT QUEEN (8) to win. Race 6 MANDOWN (4) was forced to do it the hard way last start and proved too good there. He may need to do the work again here but he is clearly the class runner of the field and the likeliest winner. CABERNEIGH (3) was able to lead and win three runs ago after showing gate speed. He then forced to the front two back and was too good again. ARIONROCK (10) was forced wide off the track last time out as the speed went on and appeared to hit the line nicely late. SKIPPIN CLASS (2) sat outside the leader last start and proved far too good dashing away and winning well. Tips: 4 3 10 2 Suggested Bet: ARIONROCK (10) to place. Race 7 MIKIS BEACH (7) impressive last start winner when rounding them up fairly easing. That race was easier and he’s faced by an outside front row draw. LOMBO MITHINSON (4) has the draw advantage on two of his key rivals in this race. GULLY GUM (6) won well last start beating the smart Memnesha who was forced to do the work. FOLLOW ROCKNROLL (5) caught the eye last start when flashing into fourth after starting outside the back row. PEACEFUL (3) trialled just fairly recently at Pinjarra. Off her trial she probably couldn’t figure in this race but she is classy and her best is good enough. Tips: 7 4 6 5 Suggested Bet: FOLLOW ROCKNROLL (5) each way. Race 8 SUGAR COVERED (3) did the work last start in a stronger race. Battled on well to be beaten just 12 metres. If he can find the front in this race should take some beating. HEEZ A VIBE (13) returns from a spell and appears to have a class edge on a lot of his rivals. Has to navigate a tricky draw. ROAD STAR (1) hasn’t made much impression in his two recent starts. Got a long way back last start and never really got into it. Can see him running an improved race from the good draw. YOUR GRACE (11) has impressed in recent efforts. Loomed strongly behind La Vista last start who’s since won again. Tips: 3 13 1 11 Suggested Bet: SUGAR COVERED (3) to win. Race 9 ALZ SUNSHINE (3) has gate speed and used that to find the front last start leading most of the way. Appears to set up similar in this race. HEZ SPECIAL (7) well beaten in a recent trial but the winner of that trial was Sangue Reale and they dashed home a quick last half. STRIKING A DEAL (5) got back to last in the run last start and did well to run into fifth after being the first horse three wide. WAHINE TOA (8) was second to Just A Happy Man last start. Can secure a soft run. Tips: 3 7 5 8 Suggested Bet: ALZ SUNSHINE (3) to win. Market Market
