Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on July 8, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Race 1 GIANT LEAP was $1.85 into $1.32 first-up and was ridden close handy to a reasonably strong tempo. Hit the front a long way from home and was left a sitting duck. Beat the Bro ran him down but that could turn into very strong form after Race 1 on Wednesday. Expecting a price of around $1.28 opening and he’ll be winning. HITCHINRAIL ran the best race of his short career last start. SUN CHACEN has some level of ability and should enjoy a nice run. BOLSHOI GAL is no star but honest and consistent. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – GIANT LEAP WIN Race 2 ROYAL CHOISIR has had 15 opportunities to break through in her career but seems to have come back even better than last campaign. First up finished only 4L off Belmont Oaks winner Chantrea and then most recently only 5.7L off her and Ginger Flyer and Eurasia. Back to maiden company and Jorden Turner gets back on. LOVE STRIKES does no work from the draw and should get close. TUNIS steps up in trip but looks like really appreciating the trip. REGAL RAGE is a perennial maiden but can improve sharply in this. Numbers: 7 – 9 – 10 – 1 Suggested Bet – ROYAL CHOISIR WIN Race 3 ATILLA’S DREAM is a 5 year old having only start number 6 but has run some really good races. Both minor placings last preparation were excellent, behind Great Heist and Cornflower and then to Magic Empire and Bruce Almighty. Recent trial win was sound and Pike draws the inside. WICKLOW PRINCESS was backed off the charts first-up and looked home for all money. Only gobbled up late by Secret Statue and she gets another wonderful opportunity here. PULI is more than capable of coming out running from a wide gate and settling in the breeze. Breaks maiden status this campaign. THE ANVIL wins one sooner rather than later and is hard to knock on current form. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – ATILLA’S DREAM WIN Race 4 HINDSIGHT BIAS was a month between runs at his most recent and stepped from 1000 to 1400m. Lead them up and was collared turning for home . Was a shade disappointing to the eye but now back in trip and a fortnight between runs expecting an improved performance. Debut fourth was to Bright Diamond, She’s Enchanted and Big Man In The Sky. BLAXEL ROSE trialed recently against winners and to finish only 4L off Danny George isn’t bad trial form at all. TRADED CROWN should take up a position from the draw and get every chance. DRAMA FREE needs luck from the draw. Numbers: 3 – 11 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – HINDSIGHT BIAS WIN Race 5 SEA WAIF is a speedy little mare who should be winning her fair share of races this preparation and this looks a perfect C1 assignment to start the campaign. Beat Playing Marika and Jericho Missile in a recent trial and Beaux Edwards should have no troubles in finding the front. Takes running down. GREAT HEIST has an even bigger trial scalp, that of Misty Metal. Shows glimpses and Pateman taking a ride for Adam Durrant gets the eyes’ attention. MISINFORMED BEN draws a gate and has a riding change. Keep safe. DIAMOND TRADE will likely need further. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – SEA WAIF WIN Race 6 CHOICE COMMAND has raced in higher grade at his last 7 and drops back into a C1 for only the second time in his career. Has some cracking form to his name: C3 second to Tawny Pete, 60+ Grad second to Megazone and 66+ second to Choice Command (beating home Mankind). Madi Derrick takes 3kg off and this looks a nice race for him. NOT MY FIGHT comes out of maiden grade but won with her eyes closed. Can not fault Lindsey Smith’s horses and with Pike drawn the inside will be clearly the punter’s elect. FAIR JUSTICE has a turn of foot but will need it from the draw. SEE YA CHAMP an improver. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – CHOICE COMMAND EACHWAY Race 7 LUKE’S CHOICE is super consistent and versatile. Loves Pinjarra Park and if there is a distinct track pattern then he can be ridden accordingly. He is just as adept on the speed as he is off speed and he should be going close in this race. SUPER TERITOA seems to get along really well with the riding style of Laqdar Ramoly. No reason he can’t cross and take running down. ACONITE was eye catching at her fresh run and is a nice ride for Hannah Fitzgerald. DELTA BELLE will be looking for further but a staying mare fresh at 1400m is always popular. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – LUKE’S CHOICE WIN Race 8 BOBCAT JOHNNIE did it tough first-up when jumping a half stride slower than expected and then couldn’t get a spot in running from gate 3. Sat three deep the trip and ran well. This should be even more to his liking at 1400m and he can stride across to breeze in a race without a deal of top end tempo. ARTIE’S COMET didn’t get the best of runs last start and worth forgiving and remembering his booming fresh victory. SUNDAY SESSION will step out over further but worth consideration at his WA debut. ROSIE RED DRESS lost contact with the field first-up and then was hitting the line powerfully. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – BOBCAT JOHNNIE WIN RACE 9 TRAKIATO would have lost a few followers last start when he was heavily commissioned and was traveling into the corner. Didn’t let down when asked for an effort but in review was sitting over the top of a strong tempo and Flower of Scotland has won two since. Previous efforts were eye catching. Feeling forgiving. REWRITE THE STARS is a nice filly who finally broke through for a second win after a string of luckless outings and quality runs. PEPPIJACK draws a gate and ran very well last start. BEL MY PAGO more than capable on her day but will need luck. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – TRAKIATO WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,4,5 1,2,4,8 1,2,3,5 1,2,3,8 Market Market
