Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on June 4, 2022June 4, 2022 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 DELTA ANNE was scratched from a winnable maiden on Wednesday at Belmont to save for this and it looks on paper like Chris Stelmach may well be rewarded for the forward thinking. This is probably 3L weaker than the race they scratched from on Wednesday, she’s drawn perfectly and should be going very close to breaking her duck. Great race for her. FRIES WITH THAT ran third at York at massive odds. Can he reproduce? SHIVERINO trialled up alright over 1450. INFRINGEMENT MISS might roll along and give a kick. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – DELTA ANNE WIN RACE 2 WHAT A PRINCE gets another chance. The run two starts ago behind Cisocjoe (now a C1 winner) was excellent when leading and giving a real kick at the top of the corner. Dropped them at the top of the straight last start but rolled back to the inside and was left floundering late to finish a disappointing third. Don’t think he ran out the mile so coming back to 1400m is a plus and Brad Rawiller jumps aboard. MELWOOD COAST is a career maiden and has had a lot of opportunity. Admittedly probably only a few as weak as this. KESEM is a 5 year old debutante. Don’t think he beat much in his recent trial but this is thin. TURKISH LAD has no weight and can roll to the top or breeze. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – WHAT A PRINCE WIN RACE 3 BENT LEG BORIS ran fourth behind My Boy Eddy, Let Them All Talk and Dustys Got Talent two starts ago in a 1300m maiden and then went to a C1 mile at Belmont when running out of his skin to finish fourth (then fifth on protest) behind The Admiral, Kentucky Blue and Tiff’s Lad. Back into a maiden and should go close. Looks ready. LUKES PIERRO trialled well and was thrown into the deep end fresh. ARTIENNE has run some nice enough maiden races in her short career to date. She’s drawn awkwardly but she’s also shown versatility. JUST JERRY is very one paced. Seems to run for Lucy Warwick. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – BENT LEG BORIS WIN RACE 4 CHICK FLIX clearly has ability but clearly has issues. Raced as a 2 year old and then wasn’t seen for 452 days until returning in March 2021. Trialled well leading into this preparation, finished third behind Men’s Club (subsequent C1 winner) and Promised Bride first-up and then hasn’t been seen for 39 days. Taking on trust and taking a lead from the fact Troy Turner rides her ahead of Rakiura. RAKIURA gave reel cheek and has form down the 1000m straight previously. Always hard to beat Brett Pope at Pinjarra. JALINDA BAY is no star but she’s going well and will pinch a maiden. RIBBING has shades attached and has raced well so far this campaign. Numbers: 5 – 7 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – CHICK FLIX WIN RACE 5 VALLEY OF QUEENS burst onto the scene in WA with an all the way win on the Scarpside track at Pinjarra beating What A Prince (hopefully enhances the form earlier in the program) and then went to town into a very strong C1 and was beaten out of sight. Being forgiving and with Holly Watson back aboard think she’s worth a try in this. SILVER BUGG stepped out to 1500m last start and didn’t seem to get the trip. Back to 1300m a positive and her previous effort in C1 company was sound behind Magnificent Andy and Justamiddy. NUTWOOD broke her maiden well but now has to carry 3.5kg extra. TEMPEST MISS actually ran alright first-up. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – VALLEY OF QUEENS EACHWAY RACE 6 MY MARLAINA will take running down in this. Won a C2 at Geraldton by the length of the straight four starts ago, then contested back to back 3yo 0MWLY races finishing second to Alsephina (beating Born To Talk) and third to Colossal and Hammarmill (beating Seduce Me and Desert Vixen). Backed off of 7 days last start and was sound behind Airlie Queen. Will need to burn early to get across but she’s a high speed cruise horse regardless. PURE DYNAMITE should get a lovely track into the race and can go well fresh. NOBELLITY was going super until last start. Needs a bit of luck. NORICH is flying for the new stable. Numbers: 1 – 10 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – MY MARLAINA WIN RACE 7 STYLAX jumps off the page here. The first-up win was with 60kg and was arrogant late when pulling right away from them in the concluding stages. Went straight from a C1 to a 60+ and was far from disgraced into fourth behind Warm ‘N’ Fuzzy, Via Monte and Alesphina. Drops back into a C3, drawn to get an identical run to first-up when winning and is a proven weight carrier. Keen. GREEN AND SHADY ran really well last start in a winner producing race. Will always get back and need the race to unfold in his favour. PICK YOUR BATTLES is hard to catch but on his day he’s very handy. MIDNIGHT MYSTERY ran well fresh but did get every mortal hope. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – STYLAX WIN RACE 8 BE OPTIMISTIC is flying this preparation. Taken to Geraldton for an easy kill, big C1 win when held up on multiple occasions in the home straight and then completely luckless last start in a 3 year old 0MWLY. Will need luck in the home straight but Holly Watson is riding the crest of a wave. CANNY JACK looked the winner on paper last start and he didn’t let punters down. That was a C3 mile, this is a C3 mile. Doesn’t look any harder, looks like getting a very similar run-in transit and the only difference is he doesn’t get his preferred wet surface. THOROGOOD won a C3 mile that rated through the roof. Be surprised if money didn’t come for him and Strawberry Mist at stages in betting. CISCOJOE has now put it all together. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – BE OPTIMISTIC WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,3,5,6,7,9 1,3,4,6,9,10 2 1,2,3,4,7,9 Market Market
