Finished second in a Northam maiden beaten on the post by subsequent dual Listed winner Another Chino back on November. Looks a filly who shouldn’t be a maiden much longer. ALL BRAVE was scratched from a maiden during the week in the metro area to save for this. Drawn inside, shades on, Tash Faithfull to ride and has enough gate speed to hold up a position. TIMELY ADVICE chased hard behind the speed battle set by Floba and Trigger Finger last week. QUEEN’S SACRIFICE went around a $6 chance on debut in a maiden at Ascot back in December. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – ORTABEAROCKSTAR WIN RACE 2 LAUGHING BUDDHA looked like he was about to burst through and make a race of it last week when he was completely stopped in his tracks. He has been building and getting better with each run. This looks winnable. CALIFORICATION was in the same race and ran well on debut. 7 days later he should only be improving. HAYDROSS has shown ability from time to time. When he ran fourth behind Pompey and third behind Tenacious Reward from a long way back he showed a great sustained turn of foot. HEAVENLY MISS is fit and can roll forward. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 2 – 10 Suggested Bet – LAUGHING BUDDHA WIN RACE 3 SOLARIZE was able to find the front last start and that was the last they saw of him. He’s versatile and doesn’t need to lead to win. If Yeman Lass goes quick he can park on her back and should be right in the mix again. YEMAN LASS is a handy mare for this grade. She’s quick and she can burn along out in front. That was the pattern of the meeting 7 days ago. MY MATE drops miles in grade. He has raced in exclusively Saturday company over the last few seasons and now he’s in a 70+ at Kalgoorlie. Admittedly he’s out of form but he’ll find this a lot easier. RECAPITULATE is back in some form. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 1 – 9 Suggested Bet – SOLARIZE WIN RACE 4 HIDDEN RUBY broke her maiden in style winning by almost 4L. Last week she sat in the breeze and was left a sitting duck late. She’s on the 7 day back-up and she drops from a C2 back into a C1. 59kg may be right on her weight carrying limit as a 3 year old filly but she’s racing extremely well. HOLE IN ONE really caught the eye a month ago. Settled rearwards under ZJP and rattled home. Now MR Peter upgrades to the older brother CJP. VRANYO trialled super alongside Dalmouise last week. She’s quick and can hold a spot. MRS KANGAROO hasn’t gone as well in her last couple. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 8 – 10 Suggested Bet – HIDDEN RUBY WIN RACE 5 LINCOLN’S LAW caught the eye late in the 70+ two starts ago and then was the beneficiary of an absolute KBRC riding clinic from Laqdar Ramoly last weekend. 4 back the fence to 4 deep without breaking stride – beautiful to watch. 7 days later he’s every chance of going back to back. FILTHY HABITS was a strong winner from the breeze two starts ago when ridden by CJP. Sat leader’s back last week and couldn’t quite reel in stablemate It’s A Lance. CJP back on and can roll forward again. BILL THE BEE had to make a sustained run around them in the same race as Lincolns Law. IT’S A LANCE has come back a better horse this time in. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – LINCOLN’S LAW WIN RACE 6 SECRET IDENTITY comes through a C1 behind Exceltrain, Federation Rocks, Mojo’s Luck and Floppy (luckless Wednesday). This is a fair bit easier and he’s shown glimpses from time to time. HONEST LEGENT won on the Synthetic back in September 2022 when leading throughout over 1400m. Ran well last week behind Maidmy Way and Hidden Ruby and if Brayden Gaerth can cross them then he’s a big chance. FREE SOLO is on the back-up and has a set of shades added to his gear. He was caught three deep throughout last week and battled on alright. DANCING JACK is going to be a difficult horse to follow with his race pattern. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – SECRET IDENTITY WIN RACE 7 WISE WORDS was able to kick through and lead last week and was able to fend off the challenge of Town Hall and Talk It Up. Rises to 59kg here but is drawn to lead again. TALK IT UP was huge in that race when caught three deep without cover throughout. Unfortunately barrier 14 means he’s no guarantee of getting any luck 7 days later. ANOTHER DEMON was really good last week when working home down the centre of the track on a day/meeting where it was very heavy on speed/on fence. Keep safe. VINYL was huge on 15 April, huge on 25 April and woeful on 7 May. Forgive the one poor performance and she’s right in this. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 11 – 7 Suggested Bet – WISE WORDS WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 4,7,8 2,3,7,8 2,5,6 2,3,7,11 Market Market
