He set a really strong tempo throughout and was only collared late by impressive debutante Line Of Duty. Only improves fitness wise considering he was first-up no trial and over the 1100m he should be too speedy for his opposition. FLOBA travelled wide throughout at his second race at the KBRC for Nicholas Thomas and the Never Stop Lodge Team. He’ll be winning one soon. TIMELY ADVICE has shades going on. Interesting to see if she tries to hold out Trigger Finger or tracks him from leader’s back. ARTIE DODGER was only getting busy late at his return. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – TRIGGER FINGER WIN RACE 2 LAUGHING BUDDHA has been getting better with each run/ Fourth behind Mr Kohana and subsequent winner Send Em and then finished second to Send Em when never giving up the chase. Drawn well and strikes another winnable assignment. MAKIN’ PROPHETS is the second of Luke Fernie’s travelling maidens and he also resumed at York when contesting a 1500m race. He looked to find that a bit too sharp and so coming back to 1300m is a natural query. Think he’s looking for at least a mile. CALIFORNIA RISING was really well supported at his Kalgoorlie debut and put in a shocker. THE FAV got going late in the Send Em race. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – LAUGHING BUDDHA WIN RACE 3 TOWN HALL comes from 1400m back to 1200m and reunites with his old mate Laqdar Ramoly. Laqdar was the rider who got the most out of him in the recent seasons since he joined J.A.Mason and he’s clearly come back to racing in great order. He can park outside of Wise Words and from there they can control the race between them and it’s game on. WISE WORDS drops out of the Sky Provincial Heat when running third behind in form Fernie pair Playthatfunkymusic and Abloh. Hard to get past. TALK IT UP rarely runs a bad race and attacks this fresh without a trial. ROMERO won well last start but this is tougher. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – TOWN HALL WIN RACE 4 HILTON is drawn barrier 1 and can stalk the every move of Men’s Club. That’s a great position in running and it was hard to miss his trial win. Undefeated first-up and word on the street is that part owners C.M Perkins and T.W Churstain are both travelling to Kalgoorlie to be on course for his return. Dangerous from leader’s back. MEN’S CLUB was crossed in the early stages at 1300m and from there with 60kg never looked likely. He’s a different animal when he finds the fence and expect that he’ll be ridden aggressively considering he’s back to a more suitable distance. YOYO’S stayed in Perth to contest back to back Westspeed Platinum races. She wasn’t disgraced in either. DUNBAR tracks up in behind and runs his usual race. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – HILTON WIN RACE 5 FILTHY HABITS had to breeze last start and got the job done in a C2 mile. He carries half a kilo less than last start staying same grade/track/distance after the claim for Austin Galati and he looks the kind of animal who is still putting it all together. Think he’ll only get better the faster and more genuine speed they put on. FREE SOLO gets a senior rider and is clearly starting to find his feet in the region. Ready to win. IT’S A LANCE ran second to him last start and can hold form. Tricky alley to navigate. DANCING JACK is probably better drawn out than in so the wide gate can be seen as a blessing in disguise. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – FILTHY HABITS WIN RACE 6 ANNA’S BOY has raced consistently since arriving at the Pearce Brother’s Satellite stable. Gets out to a mile for the first time this preparation and he can work across to park outside of Deel Red. From there he should run another honest race. LINCOLN’S LAW went to a 70+ last start. Sat out the back chasing and got to the line late. Back to a more suitable grade and distance here. BILL THE BEE gets the services of Michael Poy and his two runs back this preparation have both had merit. SASSATIONAL is not an easy mare to catch but she’s going along alright. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 3 – 12 Suggested Bet – ANNA’S BOY WIN RACE 7 PRINCESS CHUNK won like a filly who could go to town last start. She was afforded absolutely no luck from barrier 8 of 10 and sat pretty much four deep throughout. Did an amazing job to still get past them in the finish and was actually doing her best on and through the line. Draw makes things interesting again but she looks to have a lot of ability. BOOZEROO ran second to Princess Chunk last start and similarly did it tough from a wide draw. Gets a soft run from a great draw this time round. HIDDEN RUBY hasn’t raced since breaking her maiden 26 days ago. She dominated them and won by almost 4L soft. DOUBLE RUSH Has put together three good runs and now comes to Kalgoorlie. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 9 – 8 Suggested Bet – PRINCESS CHUNK WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 2,4 1,5 1,2,3,4,8,12 1,7 Market Market
