Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on July 6, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 BOS TAURUS impressed at his first crack at open company and is drawn to get towed up behind Senorita Bonita again. From there is extremely hard to beat. TIRRENO found himself in more trouble than the Philippines Basketball side two starts ago but unlike them was unable to punch his way through. Three and four deep last start, hard to ignore. SENORITA BONITA will find herself in her customary role of leader and gets the senior back aboard. She’ll still be there at the hundred. SWIFT SIS lumps a big weight and concedes them a start. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – BOS TAURUS WIN Race 2 WESTERN STAR is one of the most one paced horses in the State but Ryan Hill could find the front and dictate. She needs to be rolling from the 1000. MONKEY BAR has progressed well since his maiden win and looks more than capable of taking out a race like this. Will get a nice run in transit and charge late. NOIR DE RUE was heavily supported here 7 days ago and ran a gallant second. The three year old will win his fair share of Goldfields races. URQUELL was given every chance here last weekend and gets an identical run. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – WESTERN STAR WIN Race 3 LIKE HIM A BIT has to overcome a horror draw but does look the most talented in an evenly graded maiden. On speed rider Ryan Hill a positive engagement. LIZZIE didn’t seem to handle the 7 day back up at her last start and looked drained. The shades go back on and so does aggressive French rider Matthieu Autier. CYCLONE MAN lobs at the Shannon Brown yard for new connections and was seen last week sporting a sweet little haircut. When the lucky blue and yellow cross silks make an appearance the stable has an opinion. PREMIO MOMENTO went hard out in front last week and was entitled to weaken late. Gets another chance. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – LIKE HIM A BIT WIN Race 4 THIDWICK THE MOOSE is going a lot better than his numerical form suggests and looks ready to really make his presence felt 4th up this preparation. If the money comes it may pay to follow it as Mr Peter Fernie has been hitting them out of the middle recently. OUTER DETENTION was withdrawn after Ryan Hill got dropped leaving the mounting yard a fortnight ago. Previously unlucky behind the talented Little Fish. BEVEL is racing ever so consistently, and this is another very winnable assignment. FOR THE FALLEN always goes around at an attractive price and will pinch one sooner rather than later. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – THIDWICK THE MOOSE Race 5 BADGE OF COURAGE has always been undoubtedly talented but struggled to really put it all together. His most recent victory was stylish and if the penny has dropped he is very capable of stringing together a number of wins. TAKE THE STAND belted moderate maiden opposition and then made a strong step into tougher last start. LITTLE HERCULES makes his Goldfields debut and will pick up his fair share of races here. Only has a 40m sprint and needs to be held up as long as possible. PALMA MERENTI has impressed at his two Goldfields outings to date and expect to see him roll forward to offset the sticky gate. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – BADGE OF COURAGE WIN Race 6 WOCKNWOLL was forced wide on top of a hot speed last time out and was entitled to finish a lot further back than she did. She looks an on pace type with a bright future in the region. MYBAK pounced off the hot speed and really sprouted wings, winning impressively here a fortnight ago. Gets a very similar run in transit in this race. ANOTHER DEMON has to carry the grandstand on his back and it looks on paper like he will be attacked a long way from home. SHE’S VITAL needs to find a position from a sticky gate but has the ability to win. Numbers: 8 – 2 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – WOCKNWOLL Race 7 MAJOR MAMBO has thrived since joining Trevor Tasker’s boutique stable. Settles close to the speed and deserves to breakthrough after a couple of near misses this preparation. MEDICI VASE is the obvious danger after cruising to an effortless victory over subsequent winner The Delorean. Ryan Hill rode him 11/10 on that occasion. BJORN TO LOVE was a shade disappointing at his most recent after the senior went on. Pay to forgive. CAROB has been running honest races and can run into the first four. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 7 – 9 Suggested Bet – MAJOR MAMBO WIN Quadie (Races 4 – 7) 1,2,4 1,2,5,6,7 1,2,3,6,8 2 Market Market
