Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on May 15, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 KING’S AUTHORITY has only won the one race, when he was on debut as a 2 year old. Incredibly long time between drinks and as a result a very hard horse to have faith in but his recent runs have been excellent and gets considerable weight off Dirty Dot for beating her home two starts ago. Gets his chance (but how many times have we said that). DIRTY DOT goes up in weight with the senior rider going on but should find the front. MOONLIGHT’S REWARD may also be looking for the fence with Kate Southam going on. LITTLE HERCULES should get every chance buried away midfield. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – KING’S AUTHORITY WIN RACE 2 DALGARANGA has gone to a new level under the care of MR Peter Fernie. The win two starts ago was in slick time and then last time out he made a three deep move from the 800 and only went down in the shadows nailed by Don’t Speed who was simply given a better run in transit. Kyra Yuill on, leads or box seats and is just too good. DON’T SPEED is stiff not to have won two on the bounce and Laqdar Ramoly is riding really well. Should finish top two again. IT’S DYNAMITE is not a well known weight carried but Pateman’s services can’t be underestimated. PROZONE backs up off a good first-up effort. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – DALGARANGA WIN RACE 3 ESCALATING was well commissioned last start and ran a solid enough race. Pateman jumps aboard, backs up off 7 days and could actually find the front in a race without any pace at all. If the King of Kal is left alone to dictate terms he should get the cash. COCKY ED was big two starts ago behind Aboard and Mr Krumpets but a shade disappointing last time out. EXPLOSION is always there abouts but a long time maiden. ANGELIC MOON fresh can put in a run without surprising. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – ESCALATING WIN RACE 4 NORD AVENIR has been huge his last few. Drawn wide gates he has been racing wide, without cover and without luck. Last weekend Mitch Pateman took luck out of the equation and he raced on the speed. Beat every horse but the progressive and impressive Knight Tempest. That is super form and after the claim he gets a very winnable weight and a weak race. GALAH’S DO ROAR put in a ripper fresh at Esperance when last in work. With the claim looks the danger from a nice draw. JUST FRIARS can improve sharply if rolling forward. MISTER KRUMPETS will also be ridden for speed. Broke through last week but this is much tougher. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – NORD AVENIR WIN RACE 5 NEMIROFF was able to find the front first-up and that is the key to his racing pattern. If Victoria Corver can stroll across from gate 7 and let him work through his gears and find the front then they’ll struggle to catch him. Ran really good time first-up no trial and should only be improving into the preparation. GLIMTER GIRL ran a ripper at her first start this preparation. If she jumps cleanly should get a lovely tow. WATTO’S FURY is impossible to knock and will again finish in the money. TEMPLE MAN next best from the back. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – NEMIROFF WIN RACE 6 SMARTY is too good for them if the real Smarty turns up. Was well backed two starts ago in an Ascot Saturday race when running sixth and then was a flop at her last start. This is a lot easier assignment and she returns to the Goldfields where she was so impressive last campaign. KNIGHT TEMPEST is flying and going through the grades very quickly. No reason why he can’t continue to win. BARRY’S RABBIT was a bit stiff to run into King Blitz last start, this is a much more suitable race for #Baz. MAJOR MAMBO next best. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – SMARTY WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 2,4 1,7 2,3,4 1,2,3 Market Market
